C17 Has Been Driven away (2/2)

Gu Nan Yin shook her head, ”Grandpa wouldn't let me go out alone. I've never been to such a small city.”

Yun Xiao turned his head and his gaze fell on the steps in front of the house. Upon closer inspection, there were some dark red marks on it, like drops of paint. That was Yun Xiao's blood. She accidentally left it behind when she carried him back.

The newly planted pear tree in the courtyard was now lush and full of fruit.

Things changed for the better. Even though Gu Nan Yin was standing right in front of her, she couldn't remember where she used to be.

Just as he was about to push open the door and enter, a big burly man with a thick northeast accent came in, ”What's going on?”

Yun Xiao and Gu Nan Yin turned their heads and the sturdy man had already arrived, ”Why are you sneaking around our house? Are you trying to steal something? ”

Gu Nanyin was startled and quickly waved her hands.

Yun Xiao calmly stood in front of Gu Nan Yin, ”Brother, we came here from outside the city to travel, so we didn't come to your house. We saw that the scenery in the courtyard is pretty good, so we came here to take a look.”

The big guy straightened his neck, raised his fist and said with a coarse voice, ”Where did you lie to a three year old child? ”I've never heard of anyone travelling to such a small place like ours. Besides, my home is so remote, so why are you here?”

When he said this, Gu Nan Yin couldn't help but step out and say, ”Big brother, we were just passing by your house, do you have to be so fierce? I think you're the one that's sneaking around. What proof do you have that you're the head of the household? ”

”I …” The big guy raised his head, and stammered, ”This room is mine, what other evidence do you need? Besides, who are you? ”Why should I give evidence?”

Gu Nan Yin refused to be outdone as she looked up at the big man, ”Of course I have no reason to make you give me evidence. Then, what right do you have to say that we're thieves? Bring out the evidence.”

The two of them faced off for a while. Although Gu Nan Yin was much shorter than the big man, she did not lose out in terms of aura.

Finally, the big man waved his hand, ”Today we are really down on our luck. Scram, don't let me see you again.”

With that, he headed home.

Gu Nanyin tiptoed and shouted in the direction of the big man, ”Same here.”

Yun Xiao pulled her back and looked at her. He lowered his voice and said, ”There's something wrong here. We should leave as soon as possible.”

”Fine.” Gu Nan Yin also lost her interest.

Seeing them walk away, the big man dialed a number.

”Chairman, the second miss really did come to E City with Boss Yun. Fortunately, you were prepared for a rainy day and told me to guard this place. I have already chased them away and did not reveal my identity.”

”Alright, I understand.” Gu Rui Zhe's voice came over the phone.
