Chapter 824 - It’s Not True. You Have to Trust Me! (2/2)

Speaking of which, Liu Qingshi smirked and said, “The three of us will be hunting for food. Look at the sky. In another two or three hours, it will darken. Guys, we have to move quickly. Try to settle our food, drink, and shelter before it is dark.”

Hearing that, everyone nodded at once.

Beside him, Fang Qiu couldn’t help but secretly pay Liu Qingshi a compliment after hearing his arrangement.

He must admit that Liu Qingshi, as the main MC, did have great EQ, for he was fully aware of how to lead the show going.

Since he learned that they would live on the uninhabited island for three days and two nights, the first thing Liu Qingshi did was to guide everyone to get rid of the negative emotions so that the show could continue. Then he used Fang Qiu as a laughing stock to make them completely forget their dissatisfaction. Then, not until it was almost dark did he begin to arrange the work. In this way, due to the lack of time, the audience would have a sense of urgency and thus become more interested in the show when it was broadcast.

Apart from this, Liu Qingshi also made Huang Huachao and Ying’er in one team. They were the youngest and most energetic ones among the six members, who were also considered a TV couple. Fang Qiu and Song Yaqi, two prominent figures, also teamed up with him. In this way, there would be two pairs of TV couples. Because he was the main MC, Fang Qiu and Song Yaqi must have the most shots. It would be easier for them to create highlights when they were together with him. Thus, more material could be used in the show.

After the division, everyone began to move separately.

“Let’s look around first and see if we can find any tools. Maybe we can find some crabs,” Liu Qingshi said.

Fang Qiu and Song Yaqi nodded in unison.

But after looking around for a while, Fang Qiu and Liu Qing Shi didn’t find anything except for dead branches.

Song Yaqi, however, walked over with a lump of stuff.

“I found some ropes.” Stopping in front of them, Song Yaqi raised her hand, where laid a lump of messy and thin ropes which seemed to be used to make up a net.

“This will do,” Liu Qingshi hurriedly praised her and said, “This rope is of great use. If we want to set up a place to live at night, this rope can help us fix the branch.”

“Unfortunately, I didn’t find anything to eat.” Song Yaqi gave a wry smile. Then she walked to the beach and said, “I’ll go and see if I can pick up some seafood.”

“Alas!” Liu Qingshi shook his head and sighed bitterly. “If we didn’t eat anything, we wouldn’t have the strength to work. We only ate coconuts just now. But it was as if we hadn’t eaten anything. It was a pity that we didn’t have any tools while facing such a vast and boundless sea. It would be great if we could go fishing. A tuna fish can definitely fill our stomachs!”

“Ah…” As soon as he finished speaking, a scream suddenly sounded.

The two of them turned their heads to have a look.

Song Yaqi, who was walking by the sea, was covering her mouth in amazement.

“What’s wrong?” Fang Qiu and Liu Qingshi dashed over.

“No, I’m fine,” Song Yaqi said while pointing at her feet awkwardly, “I’m sorry. I was startled when I suddenly saw a dead fish.”

Both of them breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.

“Well, I got it.” As Fang Qiu glanced at the dead fish that was pushed to the beach by the waves in front of Song Yaqi, his eyes rolled.

“What?” Song Yaqi was curious.

“Tell me clearly. What are you thinking?” Liu Qingshi asked in confusion.

“We can go fishing!” said Fang Qiu with a smile.

“Fishing?” Song Yaqi was stunned and said, “We don’t have any tools. How can we fish?”

“Yeah, where’s the fishing rod?” Liu Qingshi also questioned.

“Since we don’t have it, we can make it by ourselves.” Fang Qiu immediately squatted down with a mysterious smile, grabbed the dead fish, ran to one side, found a sharp-angled stone, and began to sharpen it.

Liu Qingshi and Song Yaqi followed closely behind.

Fang Qiu sliced the fish with the stone and found a short but extremely sharp fishbone in the body.

Getting the fishbone, Fang Qiu said to Song Yaqi, “Give me the thread you just found.”

Song Yaqi handed the thread to Fang Qiu with a curious look, eager to see how Fang Qiu would make the fishing rod.

After Fang Qiu got the thread, he immediately got up, walked to the beach, and looked around.

He then found a branch.

He tore off a layer of thick and sturdy bark, put the fishbones together with the bark, wrapped them with ropes, and then wound the rope in the middle of them. The bark and fishbones, tightly wrapped together, were quickly separated and turned into a hook. It looked like a tool for a child’s game, which didn’t seem serious at all.

“Done.” After tying it up, Fang Qiu took the dead branch that Liu Qingshi had found before and tied it with the rope. In this way, a simple fishing rod was formed.

“This… can be used to fish?” Song Yaqi asked hesitantly.

“That’s all we can do now,” Fang Qiu said while shrugging his shoulders, “We can only make every possible effort.”

“Even if your fishing rod works, what about the bait?” Liu Qingshi asked.

“Find a bait then,” Fang Qiu replied casually, “What’s the ecological environment in the sea?”

“What?” Song Yaqi and Liu Qing Shi were stunned at the same time.

“Big fish eats small fish while small fish eats small shrimp.” Fang Qiu grinned and said, “Because the waves on the beach are big and the water flows fast, most of the fish in the sea can’t see whether it is a living fish or a bait, so as long as we catch a small fish, we will have a chance to catch the big fish!”

After that, Fang Qiu caught a finger-sized fish in a rock area with sufficient water.
