Gong Yichen stood hesitantly at the door of the ward with a bag of Soup Dumplings in his hands. He wondered about Song Jiayin's condition and whether it was appropriate for him to go in now.

Seeing him pacing back and forth a few times, even Zheng Rui could not take it anymore. He shook his head and walked out: ”Don't worry, I just gave her a few pills, she's fine now.”

With Zheng Rui's guarantee, Gong Yichen could finally be at ease and knocked on the door and entered.

Song Jiayin leaned on the headboard, with two pillows propped up by her waist, she could barely sit up.

Her expression was calm as she quietly turned her head to the side, staring at the blue sky outside the window in a daze.

”Why are you so engrossed in it?” Gong Yichen walked over to her side and handed over a bag of Soup Dumplings to her.

Song Jiayin seemed to be entranced by it, she did not even notice when Gong Yichen walked in, and only when he opened her mouth did she turn her head around.

”Oh, nothing.” She stared at the Soup Dumplings in her arms, hesitantly not being able to pick up the chopsticks to eat. It seemed that she had some concerns.

Gong Yichen saw through what she was thinking with a glance and comforted her, ”Don't worry, I will definitely buy cleanly.”

He was not like Song Jiayin who was unscrupulous and did not hesitate to buy food from stalls by the roadside. As a result, he was sent to the hospital for acute appendicitis.

Song Jiayin, who had been caught off guard, pursed her lips. She could only slowly unwrap the bun, pick up a Soup Dumplings, and eat one piece in one go.

Since last night, she had only eaten a box of low-quality cold grilled noodles. Right now, her stomach was rumbling with hunger. The Soup Dumplings in front of her was like coal in a snowstorm. She could not help but take another bite.

Fresh gravy slid along with the flour. Once it entered her throat, a sweet taste filled her mouth, stimulating her taste buds in every way, causing her appetite to rise.
