661 659 Lanes Grabbed Future (1/2)
”Ever since the Sierra's been here, did you know?
”Yes, it is.”
No way, we didn't think we'd been known for that long. Sierra is looking beyond surprise.
”And when I discovered them, I tried to make contact to see the past.”
”Huh?
Finally, you can't stand it anymore, or Sierra raises the loose voice between you. There was a colour of confusion on that face.
Maybe you don't remember anything about Lane.
”At first you hid yourself as a spirit, so you wouldn't be noticed. After that, I changed my appearance and said hello.”
Even I can finally feel the Spirit these days. Nor can that be said to be perfect yet. If they consciously erased their presence, they might still not know it.
I guess Sierra and Zero Thread didn't even notice Lane.
The first thing I've decided to bet on is this plan - or the slightest possibility of salvation - is that lane over there. I guess her inquiry whispered that contact with Sierra and Fran over there could avert ruin.
Lane sent Sierra, Zero Thread and Zelaise from one side to the other to make the slightest hope a real thing.
And with this lane in contact with Sierra, we took over that hope.
”Over there and over here, no one gets unhappy in the end. There's no way there's such a thing. But what if we can make it to that future? Don't you think it's worth hanging everything about me?
Lane said he was determined. Absolutely, let me try to save everyone.
”It's only recently that things have moved, though.”
I don't know where Zelaisse is, and I don't know who the Frans are anywhere. In the end, I had to wait for that time to come, aiding Sierra from behind.
”Were we being helped before we knew it...?
Sierra squeaks in dismay. Well, I don't know, but...
I was supposed to visit Fran. If I could avoid ruin, I don't think the process matters. Even if it was all meals on the lane. But Fran won't be convinced. I've dived through intense battles and adventures, but maybe it wasn't just my powers.
Sierra's accumulated confidence was a shaky fact.
”I'm telling you, my help is insignificant, right? I only got my hands on it three times directly. At first, I led the guild man under him, debilitated, so once. Once when I was surrounded by a dangerous warcraft, I only distracted the warcraft a little and helped him escape. And then when I was dying of a disease, I recovered my strength once with healing power. Is that it?
Regardless of whether or not I could say that was trivial, it didn't seem to mean anything from what to how much in Lane's hands.
”... right”
Sierra seems convinced for now. Probably because Lane's help was less frequent than I imagined.
