73 Lillie and The Ghosthands Secre (1/2)
”Boss, it is great that they agreed with our plan.” Cris said with a happy tone.
”Right. It is really great. The two merchants can use their wealth and connections to drive away some nobles. The Profound Tiger will send people to get teritories in the west. The west district will be in chaos and the Crimson Earth Clan will enter the fight in the name of 'protector of the city'.” Naga said with a smile.
”Weak hearted nobles will definitely leave while those who stay will face the Profound Tiger and Crimson Earth.” Cris responded.
He continued, ”This is a great plan. By just intimidating them a little using the name of the House of Iron Crow and Silver Sparrow, we are able to make those two merchants and great clan to move.”
”Reputation and infamy. Those two can be used to get advantages. There are times that our fists alone are not enough. We should look for options where we can save more strength. Always remember that we are gangsters not barbarian warriors.” Naga reminded Cris.
”Yes, Boss.” Cris nodded and answered.
It was already midnight when the group arrived at the manor.
”Someone is waiting for you, young sir.” One of the guards said after opening the gate.
Naga went down and asked, ”Thanks. Who is it?”
”A commoner from the town. She said her name is Lillie, young sir.” The guard bowed down and answered.
”I see. Thank you.” Naga frowned and said.
He looked at Cris and said, ”I'll go first. Make sure to monitor the city.”
Cris patted his chest and said confidently, ”Leave it to me, Boss.”
Naga nodded and entered the manor. He went to the manor's lounge where Lillie is waiting.
In the lounge, he saw Lillie with the princess and Bill.
”Nice to see you here.” Naga said and smiled.
Lillie stood up and said, ”Sorry for visiting you at this time.”
”No, it is fine.” Naga answered and approached her.
”You are always welcome here.” Bill said.
”What happened?” Naga asked after he sat down.
”Someone from the council is coming. Not just a nobody but a shadow emissary.”
”Shadow emissary?” Naga asked.
”An official directly under one of the council seats.” The princess answered.
Naga frowned and asked, ”How did you know?”
”That aura. That same aura. I can feel it. We need to hide.” Lillie answered with a worried tone.
”I see. Did you tell Father Justus about it?” Naga asked.
The princess was surprised. 'Hide?'
Lillie lightly shook her head and answered, ”No, I didn't.”
”I see. Let's go back to the church. I will bring you to a much safer place.” Naga answered.
”I will go with you, My Lord.” Bill answered.
Naga nodded and asked the servant to call Ian.
They immediately went to the church and Naga talked to Father Justus.
When the old priest heard what is happening, he ordered the knights to open the portal.
The group and the old priest entered and went to Naga's mansion.
The butler of the mansion, Theodore, was excited to see Naga.
”Greetings, young master.” He bowed down and said smiling.
The maids and the guards bowed down too, ”Greetings, young master.”
Bill and Lillie were astonished. Naga's mansion is more elegant than the city lord's mansion.
Also, this island is so magical. The arcane aura in this realm is powerful yet gentle.
The group entered the mansion and escorted to the lounge.
One of the guards reported, ”Young master, Sir Lucas and Bishop Luciano are here.”
