21 Trouble At Nigh (1/2)

”Have a seat.” Sir Lucas smiled and offered one of the chairs.

Naga nodded and seated on a golden chair. He looked up and saw an elegant chandelier. Such a grand hall. Everything here are golden.

”I'm Lucas Magnus and I'm a Holy Knight. The House of Magnus is serving the Order for more than a century now. We owned this island and my grandfather is the current lord.” Sir Lucas said.

”Sir Lucas is actually one of the knight instructors.” Father Justus said.

”Old Justus is our head archaeologist.” Lucas smiled at Naga. They are praising each other.

He paused before asking, ”Naga, I'll be honest with you. We want to recruit you. I hope that you join us.”

Naga can feel how serious Lucas is.

”Sir Lucas, I appreciate your offer and kind gesture. However, I have different plans.” He lightly shake his head. He smiled and bowed after.

”But cooperation is possible. I can cooperate to you as long as the task at hand is not detrimental to my plans.” Naga continued.

Old Justus and Lucas was disappointed but they agreed. It is better than totally letting go of Naga. This kid has a pure Dragon Mana, they believe that he'll be a grand figure in the future.

After a while, Naga and Old Justus went back to the church. Lucas told Naga that he can visit anytime and he will endorse him to the Sacred Grail University, one of the best and oldest universities. Naga didn't decline and only smiled to Lucas.

It's already dark when they arrived.

Outside the gate of the church, Naga bowed to the old priest.

”Are you sure that you don't want our guards to escort you back?” Father Justus asked.

”Yes. I want to walk and enjoy the beauty of the night.” Naga smiled.

”Okay. Take care, young master. God Bless you.” Father Justus agreed.

”Thank you, Father.” Naga smiled and turned around.

”Is he really a kid?” The guard asked and frowned.

”Yes, not an ordinary one though.” The old priest turned around and walked.

Naga is walking and just enjoying the night. But once he reached the outside territory of the commoner's town, three big men blocked Naga's path.

”Hey! Tell your master to leave. You're not needed here!” A big bearded man shouted.

Naga looked at him then answered, ”Sure pal, I'll tell my lord. Thanks.”

The three men were surprised. This kid didn't care and just walked past through them.

”What? Wh... what did you say moron?!” A tall mascular bald man yelled. These three were pissed off.

Naga turned around and said, ”You told me that we need to leave but I can't decide for my lord. But, I also don't want any trouble so I can only agree.”

”I'm losing face here, you see? I agreed without even trying to argue.” Naga frowned.

”Wh.. What the...”

The men became more furious. This kid is treating them like a bunch of fools.

The big bearded man can't control his anger anymore and attacked Naga. He threw a punch full of wrath.

Naga dodged to the side and he kicked the man's arm. The man didn't receive too much damage but he was surprised. Naga started to run after. The three men followed him.

They are outside the boarder of the town so there are a lot more trees here and there's a path going to the forest. There are no guards watching this path as well.
