Chapter 395 - Wolf (2/2)

But, the man wouldn't take no for an answer. He stepped in front of her and revealed a charming smile, ”You'll catch a cold if you walk home like this. I insist you accept my help. I swear it's no trouble at all. It's only right since my wife did this to you”

If this man wasn't a founder of The Organization, he would make a great salesman with his charming smile and persistence.

Hummingbird started to get frustrated.

Just as she was about to reject the man again, she suddenly heard a voice beside her, ”Maggie!”

The voice was deep, slightly husky, with a strong Italian accent...

A man with dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and neatly groomed facial hair appeared beside her.

Hummingbird looked at the man in surprise. He was the same man from the pool earlier that day. What was he doing there?

The man looked her up and down and asked, ”What happened?”

Although she had rejected him earlier that day, Hummingbird preferred him over being stuck with Amun, so she quickly hooked onto the Italian man's arm and pouted, ”Babe, what took you so long? I had a little accident. Let's go home.”

She then removed Amun's jacket and handed it back to him, ”My boyfriend's here so he can take me home. Thanks for offering to help. I know you're sorry but you should go check on your wife, she looked really drunk.”

With a smile, she turned and started dragging the Italian man away before he could expose her. Amun frowned but simply let her go as he looked around for another target. There were plenty of single women in the bar; he wasn't wasting his time on someone with a boyfriend.

But, as Hummingbird walked away, she did not notice that the Italian man was secretly smiling in amus.e.m.e.nt.

After they walked out of the bar, she let go of his arm and said, ”That man was hassling me so I used you as an excuse to get away from him. Don't misunderstand.”

The man looked at her and smirked. ”How could you just use someone that you don't even know the name of?” he teased. He then removed his jacket casually and covered her with it

Hummingbird laughed awkwardly and looked at the flirtatious man. It was true, she never even asked for his name.

”In that case, what is your name?” Hummingbird asked. Since the man had helped her, it was only right to be polite.

The man did not reply immediately. He flagged down a taxi first and helped her inside. After he climbed into the taxi next to her, he leaned over slightly and whispered into her ear, ”Since you didn't give me your real name, it's not fair for me to give you my real name either. But...you can call me Wolf...”

Hummingbird turned her head in surprise as the man grinned at her. ”Wolf?” she gasped.

Wolf stretched out his hand and said, ”Nice to meet you, Hummingbird...”
