Chapter 328 - Boginya (1/2)

Inside a bar on the opposite end of Boracay, Joel Gabriel Santos was sitting in a hidden corner, talking to someone on Bluetooth.

”How did you slip up so badly?” a woman's voice asked in his ear.

The woman sounded stern and she had a thick Russian accent.

”If Zeus didn't warn you, you would be in prison and The Organization would be implicated. How did a spy get in so easily? She even had a key card to give to the SWAT team!” the woman growled.

”A key card?” Joel Gabriel Santos stuttered.

The woman on the other end of the phone was known as Boginya, the Russian word for goddess. She was supposedly an ex-KGB agent that went rogue after the committee disbanded in 1991. But, of course, these were just rumors. No one knew who she really was. In fact, no one knew if she really was a woman because her voice was always different on the phone. Only one thing was clear, her Russian accent. She was one of the three founders of The Organization and she held a lot of power in her hands. As a founder, she and the other three founders were the only ones that knew all the real identities of their members. If someone did something wrong, betrayed The Organization, or simply got on her nerves enough, she could get them assassinated within 24 hours. No matter where they went in the world, she had someone ready to do her bidding.

So, Joel Gabriel Santos was losing his mind at that moment. He almost compromised everyone.

”She was a guest in your resort and she was from Hong Kong. How did she get a key card? I thought you had a strict screening process?” the woman asked.

Joel Gabriel Santos thought for a moment. The only current guest with a key card that had any link to Hong Kong was Trojan's godsister. But, it couldn't be her, right? ”I can only think of one person. But...it doesn't make sense... She was Trojan's godsister. I confirmed it. She knew everything about him. Even the password to his safe... She even looked like she knew me when we had never met before.”

The woman grunted in frustration, ”Send me her details and I'll look into it. You're lucky you weren't caught this time. Otherwise, I would have no use for you.”

After the woman hung up, Joel Gabriel Santos breathed a sigh of relief.

Three days ago, he suddenly received a phone call from a man named Zeus, an agent from the Manila branch of Interpol. Zeus had received news about illegal operations and possible links to The Organization in White Pearl Resort so he immediately called to warn him. Everyone in The Organization knew about the resort in Boracay. After all, it was partially funded by The Organization. It was an idea that Archangel (Joel Gabriel Santos) and Trojan had come up with; a secret underground paradise where criminals could spend their money at ease, where The Organization could recruit clients, and where the members could store their money if they chose to. All profits made by the resort were naturally split based on one's percentage of shares in the resort. It was also a good way to launder money. This resort was the first of its kind. If it worked out, it would become a blueprint for future resorts around the world and The Organization would continue to thrive. As long as the person in charge of the resort had enough influence in the local authorities and government, the place would never be discovered.
