Chapter 292 - Emersons First Concert (1/2)

In less than no time, Emerson's car pulled up outside the large AsiaWorld-Expo building. At the front of the building, a line of excited ticketholders were already forming and there were also some ticket scalpers. Macaron was very popular in Hong Kong so they were holding 3 shows in total this time and each show was almost sold out, so it was a good opportunity for scalpers even though it was illegal.

Emerson scanned his eyes across the busy entrance and realized he couldn't enter through the front door. So, he instructed the driver to drive around to the back where security guards were watching the backdoor. Outside the backdoor, some fans were gathered with flashing signs and handmade banners but it wasn't as busy as the entrance.

After their rehearsal earlier, the girls had returned to their hotel for a little bit of rest and were due to return again soon, so their fans were hoping to catch a glance of them before they entered the venue.

Sure enough, just as Emerson stepped out of his luxurious Mercedes, a black van pulled up and the fans began to scream and cheer.

”Macaron! Macaron!” they chanted.

The security guards quickly ran forward and cleared a path between the van and the door.

Emerson continued to watch from afar. He had never been interested in the entertainment industry, so a scene like this was quite surprising to him. Did so many people like Macaron? He had never even heard of them before this.

Soon, the van door slid open and a professional-looking woman with glasses stepped out. Emerson immediately recognized her. It was Sue.

Sue smiled at the fans and gestured for them to calm down a little and the fans quickly quietened down a little.

A moment later, a pair of long legs poked out from the van and a beautiful young woman wearing black jean shorts and a white off-shoulder top stepped out. Her long milk-tea colored hair was tied into a high ponytail and her pretty pink eye makeup made her eyes glow as she looked around at the excited fans.

”Avaleigh, you look beautiful!” her fans screamed.

From a distance, Emerson smiled. Avaleigh looked strong and confident as she placed one hand on her hip and waved with her other hand, allowing for her fans to take some photos.

Behind her, the other girls stepped out and also paused for a photo.

”Mimi, look over here.”

”Chu, show us your signature wink!”

”Ray, smile!”

After a brief 5 minutes, Sue clapped her hands together thankfully and led the 7 women into the venue.

”We love you,” a fan screamed.

”Wishing you a good show!” another called out sincerely.

Emerson didn't know why, but he felt a sense of proudness. Avaleigh had achieved so much and it made him feel impressed. When they first met on the metro, he honestly thought she was just a normal person because she was so kind and down-to-earth. Who knew she was such a big celebrity?

As soon as the girls disappeared through the backdoor, the fans slowly left and walked around to join the queue at the front. Quickly, the area fell into silence like the fans were never there.

Emerson glanced at his driver and said, ”I'll be back out when the concert is over.”
