Chapter 215 - All Over (2/2)

Mother Du's eyes immediately lit up as she held onto Natalie's hand and dragged her into the house, ”Old man, our daughter-in-law's engaged!!”

Natalie laughed at how awkward those words sounded.

Inside the house, Father Du heard his wife screaming in excitement and quickly ran over to the two women. ”Is that true?” Father Du asked. ”I need to meet him. He needs to get past me first! What does he do? Is he hardworking? Does he exercise?”

Father Du was a personal trainer. Back when Mother Du was a model, he used to be the one that helped her stay fit. So, health and fitness were very important to him. He did not like people that lazed around all day doing nothing.

”Don't worry, I have a feeling you will like him,” Natalie replied with a meaningful smile. After all, her fiance was a senior SPU agent. But, she was going to wait to surprise them. Sean would be arriving in a few days to officially meet her family and all their queries would be answered then.

...

”Where are we going?” Trisha asked in confusion as she stared out of the German train. They had already been sitting in the train for one and a half hours.

At first, Trisha thought Oliver was taking her somewhere close-by, but as the train sped through little country towns, fields of grass, lakes, and mountains, she began to feel a little intrigued. The man had bought the train tickets and kept hold of them secretively, and she didn't understand the German announcements. All she knew was, they were getting further and further away from Munich.

”We will be getting off the train in 15 minutes. You will find out where we are then,” Oliver chuckled.

Trisha looked out with curiosity as the country towns became more residential and gradually it appeared as though they had arrived at another city. Were they visiting another German city?

Trisha wasn't very good with her geography, so she wasn't too sure which German cities were near Munich. But, from what she saw out the window, this place didn't have high-rises and modern buildings like Munich. The Baroque buildings, church domes, and beautiful mountain backdrop were totally different from Munich.

After 15 minutes, Oliver grabbed Trisha's hand and dragged her off the train as soon as it stopped. Trisha looked around with curiosity and noticed a sign that read: 'Salzburg Hauptbahnhof'.

”Salzburg?” Trisha gasped. ”Isn't Salzburg in Austria?!”

Oliver smirked and nodded his head, ”Yes, welcome to Austria.”

...

Meanwhile, back in Munich, John arrived to take Mia and Jaclyn back to his home. They still had a lot of work to do with Jaclyn until she was fully rehabilitated, but they had already gotten past the first few days smoothly and her recovery looked promising.

”Jackson, you and Halia don't have to stay around any longer. I don't know how much longer my rehabilitation will take, but I trust that Mia and John will take good care of me. Plus, I've already filed my report and identified the criminals, so everything's over now. I will go back to London once I'm recovered and I will come back to Hong Kong to visit soon. You don't need to worry about me,” Jaclyn said as she walked towards John's car.

Jackson looked at his sister and nodded his head. He saw how close Mia and Jaclyn had gotten, and he also saw how well John took care of her, so he realized his presence was actually unnecessary.

Thus, he and Halia booked their flights home for the next day. However, one flight was to Hong Kong, while the other was to Beijing...
