Chapter 121 - Fine, Lets Go (1/2)
Chapter 121 (Fine, Let’s Go!) When Everybody Adds Fuel, the Flames Rise High
When Lin Wenxi returned home late at night, he was scolded.
“Since your father was on a business trip, your uncle Hong Xuan couldn’t escort him for the first time. He felt worried about you, so he left your uncle Hong Xuan to look in the countryside. You didn’t even come back home, rather flew there!”
With a series of rebuke, Lin Wenxi knew that Lin Ziwei might come back in a few days. He failed to inquire about it by all means and was scolded, so he had to go to sleep at night.
Lin Wenxi could not wait for his father to return home, but also was forced to study by his mother. After he called Zhao Yuan and asked about Zhao Mingjiang’s condition, he returned to school reluctantly and received a letter from the school educational administration.
It recorded how many exams Lin Wenxi had missed and how many credits had been deducted. Graduation from Jifu University only depended on the credit system. Even if one failed all the examinations, as long as there were enough the usual accumulated credits, it was enough for one to graduate. Lin Wenxi’s accumulated credits at this time, was almost deducted to the degree of being on the verge of retardation. He then read the announcement about Zhao Yuan, whose cross-country training points were also deducted to the degree that there was not much left.
Lin Wenxi, who was worried all day, had no mood of going to class again. On that day, he was hit by a piece of paper on his forehead at the school gate. The contents of the note made him unable to sit still any more.
There were only a few scrawled words on the note, “Zhao Mingjiang is in a critical situation!” There were no more words.
Lin Wenxi did not intentionally wonder why the note hit himself in this way, who wrote it. He hurried to contact Zhao Yuan, inquiring about Zhao Mingjiang’s recent situation. He dared not to disclose what the note said for the time being. Lin Wenxi went to the hospital again, so he knew that Zhao Mingjiang would suffer from repeated illness due to being stimulated last time. However, he insisted that Zheng Zihuan would not take care of him again and let him go back.
In the hospital, Chen Wanxin was on the day shift and Zhao Yuan was on the night shift. Sometimes, Zhao Yuan’s aunt Liu Lanhua and uncle Cao Damiao would help, and sometimes several of Zhao Mingjiang’s relatives came to visit intermittently, so the two could relax a little. Since the New Year was approaching, many relatives and friends had to travel back and forth, which was also very hard.
Lin Wenxi couldn’t find anybody else to help him. He went to find Zheng Kai, who was helping to formulate the student’s military management plan, and handed over the note.
“You mean, someone wanted to harm Boss Zhao?” Zheng Kai asked.
Lin Wenxi did not intentionally care about Zhao Mingjiang’s nickname casually made by Zhang Kai. He asked, “What should we do?”
“Call the police,” Zheng Kai said.
Lin Wenxi looked at him with a faint smile.
Zheng Kai suddenly realized that the words on the note were not threats, but rather reminders. How could the police accept it?
“You believe it, don’t you? Who on earth did Boss Zhao offend to be tortured like this?” Zheng Kai asked.
Lin Wenxi pretended not to know.
“D*mn it. My dad even refused to recognize his family for the sake of Boss Zhao. Now I have to go and serve him? Are all our family slaves of Zhao Yuan? Fine, let’s go. I’ll mobilize some brothers.” Zheng Kai’s fatalistic turn left Lin Wenxi speechless.
Zheng Kai called friends and recruited several brothers, and let Lin Wenxi lead the way. Gu Xi went to find several girls in Dormitory 419. Shu Xiaoman was of course duty-bound. Zhou Nannan also took Wang Zhengjuan. Zhang An’an alone was pregnant and had applied for an off-campus residence and Wang Xiang was taking care of her. Lu Sisi, Zheng Kai’s girlfriend, did not know what to do but insisted to follow him. Zheng Kai glared at and frightened her, so she had to quit.
Zhao Yuan was surprised to see a group of people rushing to the hospital, so Lin Wenxi took out the note. When Zhao Yuan watched his brothers and sisters who join together to help him when the final exam was approaching, his eyes were instantly moist. When there was no one to help and no one to depend on, the helping hands were undoubtedly like a charcoal in the snow, which gave him much confidence and hope.
