When Lin Wenxi finally managed to pass the two exams that he had failed last semester, he discovered that he got an even fuller schedule and had to go to the computer room to practice his skills for this semester.

When he went to the computer room, he was surprised to find out that this room was packed with students from the other departments and even the other universities. If he wanted to use a computer here, he had to wait in line. He thought dejectedly, “Unfortunately, I’m not Zhao Yuan who can always find someone to occupy a seat for himself and even another seat for Chen Wanxin. And I don’t have a girlfriend like Zhang An’an, who always occupies a seat for her boyfriend. Gu Xi will probably just be able to occupy a seat for Zheng Kai.” With this in mind, he glanced at the crowd and turned around, prepared to take his leave.

“Wenxi! Wenxi! Here!” Zhao Yuan raised his hand inside the computer room and shouted.

Lin Wenxi walked up to him with a smile.

“Oh, you’ve found a seat for me. Thank you!” Chen Wanxin took the seat with a smile and said. Zhao Yuan was rendered speechless. When he looked around, he could not find Lin Wenxi anywhere.

Lin Wenxi did not want to go to the computer room again. He wanted to ask his parents to buy him a computer but was not sure whether it was appropriate to make such a request of them. He needed at least several thousand yuan to buy a computer. The money was equal to one-month’s allowance of his father. His mother was a writer who had published quite a lot of works, but she was not well-paid either. Every time he thought about his mother’s income, he felt confused, since he often heard that some on-line novel writers could earn several million yuan a year. His mother kept saving money for him and planned to use her money to help him get married and buy an apartment.

Every time his mother went shopping, she would compare prices in different malls. It would even take her a lot of determination to buy just one good piece of clothing. Upon thinking about his parents’ income, he felt hesitant to ask them to buy him a computer although he really needed one now.

After talking with his father on the phone, Lin Wenxi was not worried about this matter anymore. His father refused his request directly and asked him to join the work-study program to earn some money to buy a computer for himself. He muttered to himself, “I’m probably not a real son of my father…”

When his mother Huang Xiya knew about this and accused her husband of being too mean to their child, Lin Ziwei still refused to change his mind. As such, Huang Xiya secretly gave Lin Wenxi some money, but it was not enough for a computer. After some thought, Lin Wenxi entered for the work-study program and quickly got a job interview. It was a part-time doorman job at a high-end restaurant.

He went to the interview together with Gu Xi, but in the end, only he got hired. Afterwards, the manager told him that the reason his friend got eliminated was that he looked too attractive.

“Once he stands at the door, we can’s do business. People will flock to the door to look at him,” said the manager. “We’re not running that kind of business here.”

Upon hearing that Lin Wenxi joked, “Are you suggesting that I don’t look attractive enough?”

“No. At least, you look like a boy, and your posture is good. But your friend looks really slender and somewhat girly. I’ll ask the makeup girl to blacken your face a little to make you well-matched to the other handsome doorman. It’ll be great to see you guys standing at our door!” The manager pinched Lin Wenxi’s arm and went to get a contract for him.

After getting the contract and leaving the restaurant, Lin Wenxi said smilingly to Gu Xi who looked grumpy now. “You know what. The manager is worried that his customers won’t eat anything in his restaurant if you stand at the door.”

“Why? I think that I look even more attractive than you do,” Gu Xi gently stroked his cheeks and said dissatisfiedly.

“Because you look too attractive just like Zhao Yuan. People will forget that they’re hungry upon seeing you. I’m really lucky to meet such handsome guys like you!” Lin Wenxi touched Gu Xi’s head and said with a smile.

Gu Xi grinned happily.

On Saturday, Lin Wenxi got up at around 6:00 am in the morning. Right at this moment, he heard Zhao Yuan’s alarm clock ringing. They were surprised upon seeing each other get up so early on a Saturday morning. Zhao Yuan jumped to the ground and went to wash up. Lin Wenxi stood behind Zhao Yuan and frowned, as he thought that Zhao Yuan was going to buy breakfast food for Chen Wanxin again. Zheng Kai and Wang Xiang were also woken up by the noise.

Wang Xiang muttered dissatisfiedly, “In recent days, you always came back to the dorm late at night. How many girls have you fucked recently, Zhao Yuan? Do you want to do Wenxi today?”

“You played the video game all night and got too tired to open your eyes. But now it seems that your mouth still works well. Do you want Zheng Kai to insert a banana or something of similar shape into your mouth?” Zhao Yuan talked back.

“You’re such a dirty-minded hooligan!” Wang Xiang suddenly opened his eyes and glared at Zhao Yuan.

“Why did you drag me into this shit? Stop making such jokes. I’m a straight guy!” Zheng Kai stretched and yawned.

“And you’re a single guy, A’kai. Instead of jerking off, you’d better take good care of Wang Xiang. You know what. Just don’t waste your baby batter.” Zhao Yuan wiped his face and said.
