She cried out in surprise. What was being quick? Subconsciously grabbing onto her shoulder, she was able to avoid an awkward collision.
Chen Jiajia stabilized her footing and heaved a sigh of relief.
She raised her head to look at his bare chest, lowering her head in distress, ”My apologies, I didn't do it on purpose, I'll leave now …”
What did it mean to see the redness on her ears, and the trace of happiness on her lips.
”Wait.”
Just as she turned around, she suddenly shouted out. The instant she opened her mouth, she grabbed her wrist.
Chen Jiajia was only focused on walking forward, and with the power behind him, she unconsciously turned around. It was unknown if it was because his strength had increased a bit, but she staggered and fell into his embrace.
The faint smile deepened as he opened his arms, allowing her to lean on his chest.
His cheek was pressed against his moist skin, and he forgot to push it away.
By her ear, perhaps it was his regular heartbeat, but Chen Jiajia was already unable to discern it clearly. She only felt that her face was as red as a hot iron.
”Are you okay?”
Seeing his concerned expression, Chen Jiajia's heart jumped non-stop, ”No, I'm fine, I'm fine!”
”No, I have something to attend to. I have to go out!”
Her, Zhang Huang's, figure disappeared from their line of sight like a wisp of smoke. What did she mean by finally being unable to hold back her laughter.
What was going on?
An arrhythmia?
Chen Jiajia held onto the clothes on her chest, she was unable to calm her mind, and slowly went back home. Her entire family was seated, and the noise from far away could be heard.
Lin Yi saw Chen Jiajia waving at her from afar. ”Here! ”Here!” Looking behind her again, she saw that the expected person did not blink in disappointment.
Lin Yi was Second Aunt's niece, so she was also present.
Chen Jiajia sat on the side of Lin Yi and looked at Second Aunt, ”What happened?” Her eyes were watery and swollen.
”What else can we do!?” Those heartless people came to my house to threaten me, saying that if I didn't take them down soon, my home would be set on fire! ”One by one, they went back to their work and smashed my glass with malicious intent!” A man in his fifties, with a runny nose and tears, looked pitiful.
