”In urgent circumstances, I hope the Führer will give us instructions to keep our own treasures!”
After all, the left side did not realize the danger that Samuel was in. From the very beginning, this Liu-Li Factory's Emissary had treated this English explorer as an antique thief.
In fact, whether it was the left wing or the Shang Tai King, they were both cultural thieves in nature, and had collected a lot of European works of art on the left side of Europe.
However, in Egypt, Shang Tai had directly driven into the King's Tomb, pulling all the treasures that he dug out out like a cart!
The Enlightenment period of human history and archaeology was so barbaric. Those scholars were robbers and thieves, and no country in the world had a law on cultural relics.
The treasure from thousands of years ago belonged to whoever found it!
After the complaint, Guizhou finally set off. Before Zuo Zongtang left, he even advised them to rest for a few more months until the spring flowers blossomed.
However, these people could not wait any longer, especially when they heard the guide say that many of the caves in Mogao's cave had already been covered by yellow sand, and that the sand and wind would erode the frescoes every day.
At the end of December 1871, more than a hundred Expedition left the Guizhou, and headed southwest straight for the Dunhuang!
Dunhuang belonged to the ancient Guizhou. Before the Han Dynasty, this place had always been the resting place of nomadic peoples.
After the Silk Road was formed, this was an important place for merchants to enter and exit Lou Lan's ancient country. At one time, it was bustling with activity!
During the last years of the Han Dynasty, the world was in chaos. Li Guang's descendant, Li Hao, was able to establish the Western Lion Country, which was the capital of the Western Lion Country.
In the period of the sixteen kingdoms after Wuhu Chaohua, the people of Central Plains did not live in peace. At that time, a large part of the Han people in the north moved to the south, and the Han civilization was preserved in the East Jin Dynasty.
However, there were also a small number of Central Plains Han people who chose to flee to the west, following the ancient Silk Road into the west.
It was these Central Plains intellectuals and artisan farmers who brought back their culture and new technology. In a short period of time, the economic and cultural development of the Dunhuang was like a geyser.
Many of these Central Plains intellectuals worshipped Buddha, and the Dunhuang was the only path that Buddhism had to take to reach the Central Plains.
With the popularization of culture, as well as the high-tech architectural carving skills of the Central Plains craftsmen... Most importantly, these people allowed the economy of Dunhuang to develop.
Rich, skilled and supported by a wide range of people!
Under the initiative of Monk Le Zun, the Mogao's cave finally excavated the first cave, and this project continued from the 16 countries all the way to the Yuan Dynasty!
No matter how the dynasty changed, the Dunhuang never stopped being renovated and excavated. It was simply more prosperous times for more construction, more maintenance in troubled times, and the rulers of the various empires, in order to stabilize the hearts of the people, all supported or did not interfere with the Dunhuang's construction projects.
Until the Ming Dynasty, when the fate of the Mogao's cave changed!
