The soldiers could feel that the officer was different from usual. The whole Sedan Fortress was filled with the solemn atmosphere before the final battle. After setting down their breakfast, the soldiers gathered behind the officer, quietly watching him devoutly sharpening his sword.
”Is this the last battle?” the old soldier asked.
”No …” This is my last battle, it might not be yours! ” The officer said indifferently.
”Why?” the veterans asked.
”Because today, I will be the first one to charge in. I will die in battle before you, not after …”
The crowd burst into an uproar!
”Brothers!” This damn war should be over. I've had enough! ”However there are many options for ending it!”
