The next morning, the whole family asked A Miao about the events from the previous night.

“Uncle Fu said that you did not come back until midnight!” Lan Lixiao asked as he was drinking his coffee. “Just before I came home.”

A Miao put a bowl of soy milk in front of Lan Lixiao. “You came back as late as me…”

“You already have dark circles under your eyes,” Lan Lixiao stared at her, “go and get some sleep after breakfast.”

“Are you too tired?” Shen Xinglan pressed the hands-free key, and when he heard A Miao’s voice, he knew she had just woken up.

“No, I fell asleep in the morning because I had nothing to do.” A Miao jumped out of bed. “Have you eaten yet?”

Yaya shouted over the phone. “Mom, let’s eat together!”

“What do you want to eat?” The man was obviously asking her.

A Miao smiled and said, “Since we will bring Yaya with us, let’s have a light meal!”

“Well, we can go to the Cantonese restaurant near the World Trade Center. It’s just near the amusement park.”

A Miao changed into casual clothes and went downstairs. Lan Wenxuan had left for the office. Even Lan Lixiao had gone out to meet his friends. She did not need to explain to anyone. When she was about to go out, a person came in at the door.

“… Fourth uncle.” A Miao called him quickly after seeing who it was.

Lan Hua looked up at her and said, “Are you going out?”

“Yes! Will you be coming back for dinner?”

A Miao said, “Hmm. Grandpa went to drink tea. I don’t know where aunt and the others went.”
