Chapter 289 - Weird Old Lady (1/2)

Chapter 289 Weird Old Lady

The two young policemen glanced at each other and they could tell that the old lady was a local from her dialect. Then they had to take the relationship into account.

“Then wait!” One of the police spoke up and reminded Ling Lang, “You are tourists. The result can be large or small.”

Le Yi answered in a calm way, “We will wait for another 10 minutes. If you don’t solve it, then we will leave. When your son comes back, have him call us.”

“Don’t try to run away!” the old lady shouted. She even threatened the police. “If you let them go, your good days are over.”

The policemen felt unpleasant because of her words.

“What do you mean, old lady? It’s not a big problem but you make everyone waste time by staying here. It is your own fault, and now you even want to threaten the police?”

A Miao secretly began to record with her mobile phone. The old lady held her grandson in her arms and sat down, continuing to threaten them. She said, “I don’t care who you are. Anyway, no one can leave today!”

“You can go!” One of the policemen said angrily, “Since you have already dealt with the wound and paid compensation, you can go.”

When Le Yi heard it, he immediately took out 1,000 yuan and put it on the table. He held Ling Lang and then turned around, about to leave.

“You stop!” The old lady shouted anxiously. She couldn’t attend to her little grandson in her arms and she was about to stand up to stop them.

As a result, the child fell from her accidentally and his head hit the corner of the table after being hit by her.

“Wah, wah…” The child cried. This was serious enough for a child. The blood came down from his head.

A Miao and her friends were also shocked. How could this be so serious?

Le Yi frowned and held the child up, and the old lady’s face turned pale, ready to fight with him.

“If you don’t want to save your grandson, you can continue to make trouble.” Le Yi glanced at her and said, “I am a doctor. This child needs stitches.”

The two policemen were also scared. They quickly went to hold back the old lady and said, “You stop messing about! This is your grandson. Do you want to save him or not?”

The doctor in the clinic wanted them to go to the hospital at first. So when they saw Le Yi holding the child to come in, the doctor stamped and wanted to pull him out.

“You’d better go to the hospital. We can’t handle it. In case…”

“Give me gauze, scissors, sterile needles, and thread,” Le Yi interrupted him and said, “Hurry up, I am responsible for whatever happens.”

The doctor pursed his lips but Le Yi’s eyes were very pushy. He couldn’t help but prepare everything. After he realized what he had done, Le Yi had begun to disinfect and prepared to stitch him.

“Oh, my grandson!” The old lady began to cry and scream. A Miao and Ling Lang were also worried about the child, but no one wanted to comfort her.

At this moment, a man and a woman rushed in from the door.

“Mom, what happened to Xiao Lu?” the man asked. He looked quite gentle in his pair of glasses. Seeing what the old lady was doing made his face turn pale.

The woman behind him was not old. The professional dress she wore made her look quite beautiful. She asked with red eyes, “Mom, where is Xiao… Lu?”

“He’s inside!” the old lady said. She suddenly came to her senses. She shouted, “It’s them. It’s their fault!”

The man helped the old lady up. He swept his gaze over A Miao. His expression didn’t look good. He said, “All of you, what have you done to my son?”

“The police are just behind you. Ask them yourself!” A Miao answered, lifting her chin, “And, your son is fine, my friend is treating his wounds.”

The old lady kept shouting, “Don’t listen to their nonsense! They are the ones who beat Xiao Lu!”

The man still looked at them with a terrible facial expression while the woman wiped her tears and turned to ask the police about what had happened.

A policeman clearly retold the whole story with no partiality. Finally, he added, “If not for your old lady who wanted to make troubles regardless of the situation, the child would not have received the second injury.”

“Mom, what the hell have you done?” the man yelled at the old lady anxiously and embarrassedly.

The old lady looked at him incredulously and asked, “You don’t believe my words but believe others’? I am your mother! Oh, I have worked hard to raise you and support your studies. Now you amount to something and you just treat me like this!”

“Take the mother back first. I will stay here and wait,” the child’s mother said. Her tone was not very good, and she didn’t even look at the old lady at all.

The old lady pushed her son away and pointed at her. She shouted, “What do you mean? My grandson is inside. How dare you drive me away? I’m telling you, if not for the grandson you gave birth to for our family, I would have already made my son divorce you!”

“Mom!” the man shouted. He was so anxious that even his glasses fell off. He said, “You need to stop talking! Go back with me first.” Saying this, he ignored the struggling of the old lady and pulled her out.

When the shouting had gotten far away, the child’s mother let out a sigh of relief.

“Sorry for the trouble we’ve brought you!” The woman sincerely apologized to A Miao and her friends.

A Miao shook her head and it seemed that she wanted to say something but finally held it back.

“Oh, it’s nothing!” the woman answered, smiling fully at ease. “My mother-in-law comes from the countryside so her thoughts are so traditional. I can’t do anything about that.”

Le Yi took the child out from the inside, and the child’s head was covered with gauze. Probably he was tired due to crying, so he lay in the arms of Le Yi with his eyes closed.

“Xiao Lu!” the woman shouted and ran over.

Le Yi handed the child to her and said, “Fortunately, three stitches were enough. Don’t worry, no scars will be left.”

“Thank you! Thank you!” the woman said, kissing the child and crying.

“I recommend that you don’t let the old woman bring the child in the future. This time it was fortunate, but no one knows what will happen next time,” Ling Lang said, advising her directly.

“Don’t wait until something goes wrong and regret it.”
