It was phony not to be angry. There was no day that was good for her to come back, and unfortunately, today was the day chosen. A Miao was fidgety, so she threw herself into the bathtub and was halfway done washing when her cell phone rang.
”Hello?”
Xia Yongqiang's stern voice came. ”A Miao, where are you now?”
”I am at home.” A Miao frowned and regretted answering the phone.
Thinking that she was in Shen's villa, Xia Yongqiang's tone relaxed. ”Who was that woman today?”
”How would I know?” she replied flatly.
Xia Yongqiang suppressed his anger. ”I tell you, no matter what, you must stay beside Shen Xinglan, and you must never cancel the engagement.”
”What if somebody else insists on canceling?” A Miao asked deliberately.
”If Shen Xinglan does not want you, I will use you to marry someone else, and then it won't be up to you.” Xia Yongqiang threatened her. ”Be well-behaved and do as you're told. The Xia family supports you.”
Hanging up the phone, A Miao had not heard anything he said. When drying her hair, the phone rang again. She thought it was Xia Yongqiang, but looked at it to find that it was a video file.
”Brother Xinglan, I thought I would never see you again. Boo-hoo...”
On the video, Shanshan was holding Shen Xinglan and crying. Although he always treated people with indifference, the face of Shen Xinglan was gentle as he comforted her patiently.
”Don't be afraid, I will protect you in the future.”
”Then... then can I stay with you always?” Shanshan eyes fully looked at him.
Shen Xinglan smiled. ”Of course, it was very difficult to find you. Where else would you want to go?”
As soon as the camera turned around, Lil Xi smiled at the camera with mocking eyes and the video ended.
”Huff...” A Miao took a deep breath and threw her cell phone on the bed.

”Today is a fine day!” A Miao drew back the curtains and began to pack.
After half an hour, she dragged her box out to take a taxi at the gate of the neighborhood.
”Sir, go to the airport.” After closing the car door and giving him the destination, A Miao decided to give herself a holiday and leave for a few days.
The driver was about to drive when someone suddenly rushed out from behind the car and blocked the road.
”Hey! Why did you stop the car?” the driver leaned out and shouted.
A Miao pursed her lips and looked at the man approaching with a cold face.
”Where are you going?” Shen Xinglan opened the door.
”I'm leaving to go have some fun.” A Miao did not look at him.
Shen Xinglan frowned, stared at her for a few seconds, then suddenly his voice softened. ”A Miao, I'm sorry, don't be angry...”
”I'm sorry, I can't do that,” A Miao said rudely. ”I don't want to quarrel with you, please get out of the way.”
”Get out.” Shen Xinglan pulled her. ”Let's go back and talk.”
A Miao could not break free and was dragged out by him. The driver, who had been watching, asked kindly if she wanted him to call the police.
”A husband and wife are quarreling. What kind of police should you call?” Shen I sent the driver away.
”Let go.” A Miao was dragged into the elevator by Shen Xinglan. Knowing that she could not get away, she stopped struggling and obediently followed him into the house.
