Ji Yan was actually very handsome. Ji Zeming and Bai Yongwei were both good-looking people. How was it possible that their son did not look good? Even Ji Xue's appearance was one of the best among that of the notable young ladies.
”Are you hungry now?” A Miao grabbed hold of the dinner table. ”Do you want something to eat?”
Shen Xinglan looked at the table and said, ”Why is it different?”
”What?” A Miao did not react.
”Change it.” Shen Xinglan frowned.
A Miao picked up her tray. ”Do you want sweet-and-sour spareribs?”
He looked at her but said nothing.
”Eat, eat, eat.” A Miao picked up a piece of food with her chopsticks. ”Open your mouth!”
Shen Xinglan raised his eyebrows. Did she think he couldn't even move his arms...?
”Have some soup.” A Miao blew on the spoon and carefully fed him. ”There are pig's feet in it, so what you eat can supplement what you need.”
He had never seen her so good. Shen Xinglan was a bit dazed now. Before he knew it, he had finished the soup and meal, and then found out that A Miao had not eaten a bite.
”Your meal is cold.” He pursed his lips.
A Miao picked up the tray. ”It's okay, I eat fast.”
...So fast.
After looking at her for a few mouthfuls, Shen Xinglan pulled at her and her face sank. ”Why are you eating so fast? I won't steal it from you.”
”Get used to it!” A Miao was gurgling the soup down. ”There is meat.”

After tidying up the bowl and chopsticks and washing their hands, the atmosphere became awkward when the two of them looked at each other with big eyes and small eyes.
”Um...” A Miao tried to find a topic. ”This wasn't an accident, right?” The car came to him directly.
Shen Xinglan replied, ”It was obviously not an accident.”
”Was it that people surnamed Bai?” A Miao pointed in the air.
”The surname is Bai, but it is not the Bai you mentioned.” Shen Xinglan gave her a look. ”You think it's Bai Yongwei.”
A Miao looked at him as if she had just seen a ghost. ”How did you know that?”
”How terrible! How did he know that I was not talking about Bai Lu, but Bai Yongwei?”
”Wait a minute, was it Bai Lu?” A Miao long out a sigh of relief. ”Is she crazy? She thought you would like her if she killed me?”
”She was going to hit me,” Shen Xinglan raised the corner of his mouth.
”Why?”
”Your brain does not need to analyze such complicated problems.” Shen Xinglan glanced at her. ”I want to eat fruit.”
A Miao picked up an apple and peeled it with great force as if she were peeling Shen Xinglan's skin. ”Here.” She cut off a small piece and put it in his mouth.
”You are so me(an)...” The ”an” went down in the gloomy eyes of Shen Xinglan and was replaced by, ”Are you just going to let it go?”
Shen Xinglan opened his mouth, and A Miao quickly inserted another piece of apple into it.
”Wait and see. There will be results soon.”
He said things like he had not said it.
About a week after Shen Xinglan was hospitalized, one day, Shen II suddenly said,
”Boss, Bai Lu is missing.”
A Miao was just waiting on Shen Xinglan to finish his meal and was packing up. She almost knocked the bowl over upon hearing the news.
”Missing? What do you mean?”
Shen Xinglan raised his eyebrows. ”Does the Bai family know?”
”They should. Bai Youran has already sought help from people to find her.”
”If you don't tell me, I won't give you any,” A Miao said, holding a cut pineapple.
”Tell you what...”
”Tell me what you know!” A Miao looked up. During this period, she discovered a secret of Shen Xinglan, which was that this man liked eating sweet things just like she did.
She had to buy a cake to try later.
”Miss.” Shen II looked at her speechless, just wanting to say their Boss would not be threatened by such a thing as a pineapple, when he heard Shen Xinglan speak a sentence.
”Have you soaked it in salt water?”
”Of course.” As soon as she heard this, A Miao knew that he had agreed, and quickly inserted a piece into his mouth.
Shen II silently retreated to the corner to scratch at the wall.
”I don't know what Bai Lu's original plan was, but there must have been an accident. The people she hired didn't finish the task.” Shen Xinglan looked out of the window at the tulips in full bloom.
”Didn't complete the task, so naturally can't collect the money. You said... If it were you, what would you do?”
A Miao thought for a moment. ”Forget it.”
”Then if someone else gives out a message that they want to catch you, and you can't afford to offend this person at all, you can only hide or run away.”
”You released a message that you want to arrest them!” A Miao understood. ”Then they needed money to run, so they kidnapped Bai Lu.”
Shen II suddenly added. ”Boss, I just got the news... Bai Youran transferred a sum of money and Bai Lu went home.”
”In that case, it's my turn now.” Shen Xinglan narrowed his eyes. ”Find the person who hit me. You know what to do.”
”I understand.” Shen II nodded and left.
