Chapter 78 – A Little More Fear Please!

Memory is like the sun at sunset, sinking slowly and falling below the horizon. Afterwards, only a little light is left in the distant sky, and the last orange hue will leave soon.

The motorboat cruised around the lake and stopped at another dock. Not far from the dock was the tourist service center of this area. Penny gets off the boat with the documents she needed to send. She lets Su Jinqing stay on the boat but not after instructing her to not touch any buttons.

Su Jinqing nodded and agreed.

She sat idly on the boat, staring blankly at the scenery, which was the leisure she had never dared to expect before.

Suddenly, she didn’t know what happened but she found herself hearing as subtle “click”— the leather rope originally hanging down her neck, between her collar bones snapped and the glass meteorite rolled down quickly before she could respond!

That very memorable boehmite landed dangerously on the edge of the boat and then fell into the water shortly after the boat’s faint movement.

Su Jinqing’s heart was so tight that she had no time to think about it. Subconsciously, she stretched out her hand to get the necklace!

And just at this critical moment, a gunshot rang from the far side of the shore. The bullet burst into the air, and ran dangerously across the edge of the boat and falling into the water just a few inches from the girl’s fingertips!

Alarmed by blank ammunition, the crocodile lurking at the bottom of the water arrogantly swung its half-length tail and left slowly.

Only then did Su Jinqing realize what a stupid thing she had done.

She quickly withdrew her hand and looked towards the distant bank.

A tanned man stood between the aquatic plants with traces of white mud smeared on his face. In the local indigenous culture, he truly represented the blessings of God to mankind.

The man’s voice was hoarse and his tone was especially serious. The familiar Chinese language flowed from his lips. “Su Jin, if I were you, I would never put my hand in the water.”
