The person in front of him did not make a sound. He sat on the carriage, his back straightened, and his expression was calm as he looked into the distance.

It was as if someone had taught him and scrutinized him when he was a teenager, asking him to straighten his back and remember the hatred he felt when he fought against a hundred thousand soldiers.

The world looked out of those gentle eyes, cold and cold.

No one knew where he had come from or where he had come from.

However, it was at this moment that a person seemed to tread on the snow and come over in the quiet winter night, calling out to him with a clear and beautiful voice.

When she came, the light fell upon the heavens and earth, turning the snow into the spring stream, melting the night into the moon.

She sat right next to him and patted his hand as she whispered, ”Master Hou, you are no longer alone. In the future, you will still have me.”

Feng Linyuan did not say anything, but his focused gaze was slowly pulled back by her voice.

His gaze gradually landed on the young girl's face. He looked straight into her black and white eyes, which reflected his own face, pale and desolate.

However, there was an unprecedented feeling of anger.

He smiled slowly.

Seeing Feng Linyuan smile, Bai Zheng heaved a sigh of relief. She also smiled and said, ”Then, what do you plan to do next?”

Feng Linyuan's eyes congealed into a hint of killing intent, ”The hatred for father is irreconcilable. I will not let anyone who is involved in this matter off the hook. ”

”Then are you planning on plotting a war, or are you preparing to usurp the throne?” Bai Zheng asked curiously.

Feng Linyuan glanced at Bai Zheng. This kind of outrageous speech, however, was actually uttered casually by Bai Zheng, as if she was asking ”Do you want to eat steamed buns or buns”, which was unexpected.

”Aren't you afraid?” Feng Linyuan smiled.

Bai Zheng sat back by the window, adjusted her skirt, and sighed slowly: ”Marrying a chicken will always be a chicken, marrying a dog will always be a dog.”

She did not know why, but the struggle and pain in Feng Linyuan's heart for so many years, suddenly disappeared when Bai Zheng said that it was all up to him now.

He thought of the girl saying firmly in his ear, ”I will be here in the future.”

It was as if she had always been the one to shoulder all of the hatred and danger alone. Suddenly, someone stood by her side, standing side by side with her, jointly defending her against the wind and rain.

With him, this world would be pacified.

The heaven and earth are heartless, they once treated all things as ruminants.

However, Heaven had blessed all living things, and had sent her to his side.

Feng Linyuan suddenly stretched out his hand. His long fingers pierced through the dust of his hatred and the pain in his hand and landed on Bai Zheng's face.

”Zheng, thank you.”

Bai Zheng blinked her eyes blankly, her entire body stiffened and she did not dare make a sound.

Feng Linyuan's hand fell on Bai Zheng's face. That soft and tender touch which carried warmth, made him unwilling to let go.

He calmed his heart and then retracted his hand. His gaze was still as gentle as usual as he calmly looked at Bai Zheng: ”From now on, I'll call you Zheng, okay?”

Bai Zheng's earlobes quickly turned red, and his entire face felt like it was on fire.

She made a low ”Ugh” sound.
