When Gu Zhongshen came out of the empire, it was already late in the night, and a body of cold air came in from the outside. The lights in the house had already dimmed down, old steward was carrying some stuff in the living room, and was a little surprised to see him here.

Gu Zhongshen squinted his eyes, then picked up the little girl up from the bed and laid her down in his embrace. The thick and warm palm covered her small stomach, and his lowered eyes met with the pair of shiny black eyes.
