2 Yun Jing Fei and I (1/2)

Today my family gathered in our family meeting room. Talk about important things. Regarding marriage proposal. This application is not an ordinary marriage proposal. But it was a great proposal because it was offered by members of the Royal family.

Before going far to tell, I will clarify who I am.

My name is Yun Xia He. The second daughter of Yun's main family. I should have been called the first daughter if only father had not adopte a daughter of his relatives at the border, Yun Jing Fei.

Yun Jing Fei was a year older than me. Her father died when he was attacked by robbers while Yun Jing Fei was still in the womb of her mother.

Her fate was getting worse because her mother died after giving birth. Everyone said that she was a bad omen because of that incident. All relatives take decision to put her in a monastry on Luo Shan Mountain. They said that the best solution is to throw her away, far away as possible from the Yun family.

My father as head of Yun Member Family rejected their decision. My father doesn't trust such baseless beliefs. For him, it's not Yun Jing Fei's fault that her father and mother died. After discussing with my mother, my father took the decision to adopte Yun Jing Fei as their daughter.

A year after my father adopte Yun Jing Fei, I was born and two years later my younger brother, Yun Fengyin was born. My father said that the birth of the two of us seemed that Yun Jing Fei didn't bring bad luck. On the contrary it brings blessings to father. Five years my father and mother get married, they are not given a child. My father said that Yun Jing Fei is present from heaven and his both children is bonus.

Father and mother love us. What was given to me was also given to Yun Jing Fei. Both clothes and education. But all my relatives certainly love me more than Yun Jing Fei.

Whatever I want my other family members will fulfill those. Even though my father was angry because I was pampered by all his relatives, they did not give up to bring a lot of gifts for me. They did not like Yun Jing Fei and openly showed their dislike to Yun Jing Fei.

Of course I am happy. Since I was little I didn't like Yun Jing Fei. Before I even knew that he was just an adopted child in my family. At that time I was annoyed because my father always praised Yun Jing Fei.

”Yun Jing Fei is smart at embroidering ...” one day my father said that.

”Yun Jing Fei is good to everyone even to the servants ...” in another day my father said that.

”Yun Jing Fei is polite ...” every day may fahter said that.

”Yun Jing Fei is beautiful ...” my mother also praise her.

And a line of other praise given to me makes me uncomfortable. My heart feel hurt when hear the praise that is always given to Yun Jing Fei. I know that they praise me too, but for some reason I do not like to hear the same praise given to Yun Jing Fei. Not only my father and mother, my younger brother praise her too.

So when I found out from an auntie that Yun Jing Fei just an adopted child, I hated her even more. I do variety ways to hurt her. Of course clandestinely. If I am found out by my father, I would be punished by him.

I even managed to keep Yun Jing Fei quiet and not complain. I do anythink to threats her. I do not count how many insults did I throw at her, but she never complained to father and mother. This makes me even more violance to hurt him.

I have several female friends. They are comefrom noble families in the capital city. They agreed with me. They don't like Yun Jing Fei like me. We often take Yun Jing Fei to travel in the capital city. But not as friends, we treat her like our servants.

”Yun Jing Fei brought this ...” one day I asked her.

”Yun Jing Fei bought this ...” another day I asked her.

”Yun Jing Fei you must obey me...” every day I said that to her.

What our servants are supposed to do, I'll leave it to him. I insulted her in public. I made her fall into the river. I slapped her occasionally. I'm really happy to do all that. Then when at home and in front of my father, of course, I will say softly to her.

”What does Jiejie need? Meimei will buy her for Jiejie in the shop, ”I said with a fake smile in front of my father. My father who saw that would nod and smile at us.

”No need, Meimei. Jiejie doesn't need anything,” the answer Yun Jing Fei always told me. Then my father will reply.

”Jing Fei, just tell Xia He what you need. She's your meimei (young sister) and must learn to respect her Jiejie (sister),” said father and Yun Jing Fei in a trembling voice asking for embroidery thread. Of course I bought it. Show it to father and mother before giving it. Then quietly I will pinch his hand hard.
