60 Alchemist Yue Wan? (1/2)

” T-this is my house...?”

Bewildered, Sofie stared blankly at the house in front of her. No matter how much she thought about it, she couldn't think of anyone being an alchemist.

Xiao Yao maybe… But then again, she was almost always practicing with her spear or going on missions. Yue Wan… That… Was truly a little too unimaginable. From what Yang Meng had told Sofie about alchemy, it required a lot of patience and took a very long time to master. This alone was enough for Sofie to rule out the possibility of it being Yue Wan.

Maybe she had gotten a new roommate that practiced alchemy and just hadn't seen her yet?

Coming up with more and more drawn out excuses, Sofie awkwardly followed Yang Meng into the house.

”Sofie? You are back already back, I thought you were going to turn in the mission you completed today and that is… Yang Meng? What are you two doing here? Maybe meeting here before going to the mission hall…?”

Coming out of her room with a tired look on her face, Xiao Yao had a confused look on her face as she stared at both of them.

”N-no, we just got back from the mission hall…”

Nervous for no reason, Sofie started fidgeting slightly as she felt extremely awkward under the confused gaze Xiao Yao was sending her way at the moment.

”Then you already handed in your mission, I see… So why is Yang Meng here, are you going to train together in the small training ground?”

Feeling it was harder and harder for her to ask about the mission they came to complete, Sofie pleadingly looked up at Yang Meng. Hoping he would help her out and come to the rescue.

”We actually came here to complete the mission… The mission was issued by a disciple living here…”

Hearing what Yang Meng said, Xiao Yao paused for a moment as she put on a thoughtful expression as she narrowed her eyes. ”What was the mission about…?”

”W-we needed to collect a low mortal-grade moon flower. The rewards were really good for a mission like that, so we ended up taking it…”

Listing to what Yang Meng was saying, Xiao Yao's eyes started narrowing even further than they already had. Making both Yang Meng and Sofie shiver at the dangerous aura emitting off of her at the moment.

”Hm… I think the one you are looking for is Yue Wan…”

Frowning at her own words, Xiao Yao looked dangerously towards the door of the house. Seemingly looking in the direction of the dining hall.

”I-is Yue Wan an alchemist!?”

Not believing her own words, Sofie was shocked by the sudden realization that Yue Wan might really be an alchemist.

How? Didn't it require someone to be calm and relax? Wasn't it extremely time consuming and difficult to succeed? Since when did Yue Wan ever practice alchemy…?

Filled with all sorts of questions, Sofie looked towards Xiao Yao. Hoping that she would provide her with the answers.

”Ah… No, Yue Wan is not an alchemist…”

Looking to the side, Xiao Yao answered Sofie's question in a slightly helpless voice.

”Hm? What would she need the moon flower for then? Is it used for something other than alchemy maybe?”

Not understanding why Yue Wan would issue a mission for the moon flower, while not being an alchemist. Sofie turned even more confused than she was before. All she could think was that Yue Wan maybe set up the mission for a friend of hers, but… The only person Sofie saw Yue Wan together with was Xiao Yao and she was not an alchemist…

”S-she mig-”

”Sofie~ I'm back!”

Just as Xiao Yao was about to come up with a bad excuse to brush the questions aside, the person in question busted in through the door.
