54 Casting the First Qi Spell! (2/2)

Having a more stable permanent qi vessel proved to be useful, as Sofie felt it was easier to manipulate the fire qi that excited her body and even the former exhaustion she would start to feel after constructing too many symbols hadn't appeared even when she had constructed all the needed symbols for the [Conjure Fire Rabbit] qi spell.

Opening her eyes, Sofie looked at the thousands of different symbols floating around her.

She had succeeded in forming all the symbols needed for the qi spell in under 5 minutes! Even though this would still be useless in a fight, as an opponent would never wait for so long to attack, Sofie was not discouraged as she started gathering the surrounding symbols together to form the pattern that created the fire rabbit.

The arrangement of the different symbols was easier than the construction and only took Sofie another 2 minutes to complete.

BOOM!!!

Just as Sofie inserted the last symbol into the array of symbols, a small explosion erupted as the symbols merged together and exploded all at once.

The small explosion was not big, nor did it manage to hurt Sofie, but it still signified that she had failed in casting the [Conjure Fire Rabbit] qi spell.

”Ah!? W-what happened?”

Looking panicked at the small crater her failed attempt had created, Sofie had a shocked look on her face. Not really understanding where she went wrong in arranging the symbols together.

”Sofie!? What happened? Are you injured anywhere?”

Xiao Yao hurried over the moment she heard the small explosion and worriedly looked at the small confused face of Sofie.

”N-no, I'm okay… I just failed in casting the qi spell earlier.”

Feeling a little guilty when she saw the worried look on Xiao Yao's face, Sofie blamed herself for not being careful enough. One of the functions of the qi spell, was after all to make the conjured fire rabbit explode…

Suddenly stopping her train of thought, Sofie seemed to have realized something as she closed her eyes and soon small symbols started to appear around her once again.

Xiao Yao on the other hand relaxed, when she heard Sofie was okay. But to make sure everything was okay, she stayed and waited for Sofie's second attempt in casting the qi spell. This way, she would be able help out if anything went wrong.

Time passed and Sofie soon opened her eyes and looked at the thousands of symbols floating around her.

Concentrating with all she could, Sofie slowly manipulated the surrounding symbols into the patterns they need to, to conjure the fire rabbit.

This process was way slower than the first attempt and took over 15 minutes to complete, but this time the symbols didn't explode at the end. Instead they when they gathered together, they formed a small rabbit.

Looking at the small red rabbit made out of fire qi, Sofie could not help but smile as she felt a link form inside her mind.

Using the link, Sofie made the small red jump around the small training ground for a while before making it explode.

This time, the explosion was stronger. Luckily, Sofie had decided to make the fire rabbit explode far away from her and was not injured in the slightest bit by it.

”Congratulations on casting your first qi spell Sofie!”

Having successfully cast the [Conjure Fire Rabbit] qi spell, Xiao Yao, who had been standing beside her all this time, eagerly congratulated her.

”Thank you!”

Excited about her success, Sofie turned around and hugged Xiao Yao as she thanked her.
