39 Rocky Rock Demon Beas (1/2)

The area in front of Yue Wan, Yang Meng and Sofie was an opening of the forest and at the same time the ending of it. Now all that could be seen in front of them was the moonlight mountain stretching into the sky.

A small road was in front of them leading up to the top. There was not much other than rocks and a little foliage present at the small road leading up the moonlight mountain.

”Let's take a break here before we make our way up the mountain road.” Yang Meng said to both Yue Wan and Sofie. Mostly sending a concerned look in the direction of Sofie, who collapsed on the grass beneath her the moment she heard what he said.

”Hah… D-do we have… Hah… a-any water or just something to drink?” Sofie asked slowly while laying exhausted on the grass gasping for air.

”Yes, I have some water!” Having finally seen a chance to get on the good side of Sofie, Yue Wan quickly pulled out a weird bag with a small opening.

The moment Sofie saw it, she felt something was wrong with it and didn't dare drink anything from it. Instead she turned around and sent a pleading look in the direction of Yang Meng, who could only let out a silent sigh as he pulled out a more normal looking water container.

The water container Yang Meng pulled out looked like glass and could be seen through. Inside of it, Sofie could see clear water sparkling under the sun or whatever weird crystal or formation was lighting up the moonlight mountain.

”T-thanks Yang Meng.” Sofie said as she quickly grabbed the see-through container with water from his hand. Hurriedly opening it and taking a few big gulps, almost emptying all the water inside.

”By the way, what is this thing called?” Sofie said curiously as she looked at the see-through container in her hand. The container had a cylinder shape with a small opening at the top. Making it convenient to carry around.

Sofie had never seen anything like it before and the first thing she thought about, was that it might be some sort of magic tool like the tier 1 disc of fire.

”Hm… It's something called a water bottle… It's not really anything special, you can even get one yourself for free if you visit ask at the gathering hall…” Yang Meng answered in a slightly confused voice.

The water bottle was something used daily even in the villages surrounding the sect… How come she had no idea what they were…?

Of course, Yang Meng could never had known, that Sofie mostly never spend time outside playing with others and spent most of her time indoors playing with plushies. The times she went out of her room was almost always together with her big sister and at those times she would mostly go to some store for food…

This resulted in Sofie having little to no knowledge about something seen as common knowledge, she did not really have any friend, at one point she even thought all she needed was her plushies and her big sister…

”I see! So, I can get one if I go to the gathering hall? Hm… guess I will have to go there after we return to the sect grounds.” Sofie said as she kept looking attentively at the water bottle in her hands.

”Damn fatty…!” A large amount of bloodlust and killing intent leaked out from Yue Wan as she stared directly at Yang Meng with a murderous look on her face.

Yang Meng felt a shiver and looked towards Yue Wan, before quickly moving his gaze away… What had he ever done to provoke her?

Having no idea what he did, Yang Meng decided it was safer to stay closer to Sofie and quickly moved besides her. Thinking she was indeed a good shield as it seemed Yue Wan wouldn't do anything with her nearby.

Time passed and after 15 minutes of relaxing, all three of them were ready to move further up the moonlight mountain.

”By the way… Do we have anything to eat?” Sofie asked out of the blue after they began walking up the mountain road.
