27 Conjure Fire Rabbit 2 (1/2)

Spending the next few minutes absorbed in the [Conjure Fire Rabbit] qi spell, Sofie soon memorized the different symbols used in the qi spell.

The symbols used were mostly simple and easy to make, with the only challenging part being able to create a large number of symbols and have them take the shape of a rabbit. All of this also needed to be done before the symbols dispersed into the air.

After all, the fire qi she used to create the symbols could only allow them to exist for so long...

Sofie slowly calmed herself down and closed her eyes, meditating before hand was a good idea and the qi spell even recommend the person to do this at the first try in using the qi spell. Reasoning that one would have better result with a calm mind.

Meditating, Sofie tried to slowly manipulate the fire qi inside of her dantian outside and slowly started forming the symbols need for the qi spell.

Sofie thought it would be easy enough to form the symbols, but it proved way harder than she imagined, just forming a quarter of the symbols need for the qi spell left her mentally exhausted and took around 30 minutes. How was she going to do it while fighting against someone?

Putting the idea of starting off with forming all the symbols and conjuring the fire rabbit away, Sofie let the gathering of symbols she formed disperse. All the symbols had dispersed into the surrounding environment, except one, Sofie really wanted to see how long it would be able to stay without dispersing.

With one symbol floating alone to the side, Sofie started focusing at the individual symbols instead of forming all of them at once.

Starting off with the easiest symbol, Sofie continued to only form that one symbol with her fire qi for the next 30 minutes.

The creation of the symbol before took around 15 seconds every symbol. Now Sofie could create around 30 symbols within that amount of time! The training of one symbol proved useful, so Sofie continued it until a few voices could be heard from the inside of the house.

Both Yue Wan and Xiao Yao had most likely returned from their earlier game of tag, Sofie looked up and saw the sun slowly starting to go down in the horizon.

Looking to the side, Sofie could see the small symbol she let stay still flickering with a soft glow. Around 2 hours had passed since she started training, but the little symbol was still as active as ever.

Other than that, Sofie was inwardly surprised that Xiao Yao had chased Yue Wan for so long…

”Ah, here you are! Training a qi spell?” A voice came out from behind Sofie and as she turned around, Sofie saw the little face of Xiao Yao starring admiringly at the hundreds of small symbols floating around the air at random.

Weapon skills and qi spells were both strong in their own way, with weapon skill being slightly superior when it came to combat. This also resulted in many people abandoning qi spells later on, as they were less useful in combat and weapon skills were easier to master.

Even with all this some people still chose to focus on qi spells. The reason was quite simple, qi spells definitely ranked at the forefront in beauty and the difficulty of using qi spells compared to weapon skills also helped many people build patience and focus on a long-term goal.

Patience was an important thing for cultivators, as they might spend years in isolated cultivation and with the increase in cultivation realm. The time spent cultivating in isolation only increased.

”S-senior Xiao?” Sofie asked nervously, as she looked at Xiao Yao lost in the beauty of the softly glowing symbols.

”Ah, Sofie. You don't need to call me senior, just call me Xiao Yao or Xiao.” Xiao Yao answered gently, while her gaze never left the symbols floating around the small training ground.

”O-okay, X-Xiao…?” Still nervous, Sofie shyly called out Xiao Yao's name.
