When Qiao Hongye heard Jing Yunzhao say this, her face turned red and then white.
She, Jing Yunzhao, and Qiao Zizhao attend the same school, but the only difference was her brother's horrible grades. He got in by using bribery, and she, herself, worked hard to get in and could only get number two of the entire school!

They did all they could to make Ye Qin pull some strings and let them attend school earlier thus resulting in them three being in the same grade.
”Mom, my teacher said my grades can improve, but I just can't focus on my studies lately the way jiejie does. I'm worried about your body, mom. I'm really scared. I can't focus in my classes. I can't even sleep well…” Qiao Hongye said while hugging Ye Qin's arm.
Ye Qin always looked at Qiao Hongye with eyes full of affection. She was her biological child after all.
Jing Yunzhao's heart became cold.
She respected Ye Qin. She did raise her for all these years, but she couldn't help but feel cold and bitter.
Ye Qin rarely showed such loving expressions to her. Most of the smiles she had seen all seemed somewhat fake. Since she was little, she's been told to do this and that for Qiao Hongye. If she ever refused, Ye Qin would get mad and yell at her.
