C2 (1/2)
On the field, a middle-aged man wearing a green military uniform stood majestically in front of the two rows of students.
The lines on his resolute face were distinct, and he had the demeanor of a soldier, revealing his unique charisma as a soldier.
Apart from this, there was also a hideous scar on his face.
The scar was on the left side of his face, about ten centimeters long. It ran down his forehead, through the center of his left eye, and came to his cheek.
Miraculously, although the scar passed through his left eye, his eye was not damaged at all.
There were no scars on the eyelids, no damage on the eyes, and the pupils were still so dark and so bright.
His eyes were still so full of life.
He stood straight where he was, in a military posture that was even more standard.
However, he only had one hand and one right hand.
The left sleeve of his military uniform was empty. As long as there was a slight gust of wind, it would move his empty sleeve and dance with the wind.
He was none other than the primary selection instructor of the Violent Wind Academy, Niu Unyielding.
Niu Buqian, an outstanding border guard, was severely injured in the battle for the Continent of Yin's invasion.
Because of this, not only did he lose his left arm, but he also lost the qualification to become a soldier. The Discipline within his body was also destroyed by the enemy.
He had completely returned to being an ordinary person, an ordinary person who could not survive in the military.
With this regret, he came to Gale Academy and became a beginner academy selection instructor.
In the continent of the Sun, every child born until the age of eight would be inspected by the academy's primary selection instructor.
He wanted to see if they had the potential to awaken their Discipline through the Yang Blood Essence.
Potential was also divided into good and bad. From top to bottom, they were divided into five levels, respectively appearing within the Yang Blood Essence: Gold, Silver, Green, Red, and Blue.
Gold was a Grade 1 Talent. To the people of the continent, only one in ten thousand had such a talent.
Silver was a level two talent, and one in a thousand.
Cyan Rank 3 Talent was an elite existence. Basically, anyone with such a talent would become outstanding and become an expert of a certain region.
Red rank 4 talent. This was the level of a normal person, just like a soldier.
A level five blue was the lowest level of existence. It was most likely the source of the Discipline's power wouldn't awaken.
The possessors of the first three ranks would have a teacher specially to take them in as their disciples and pass their words down to their disciples.
The last two talents would be different. They would enter the preschool and receive the primary selection instructor's training.
In the next ten years, before he became an adult at the age of eighteen, if he could not awaken his Discipline, he would be expelled from the academy and become a member of the ordinary world. He would live under the protection of others for the rest of his life.
When the bell rang, Niu Buqian began his mission.
He faced the students in front of him and shouted loudly, ”It's been ten years, we've been together for a whole ten years. These ten years are so short, and in the blink of an eye, it has passed. ”
”You are the first batch of students that I have brought along. I understand each and every one of you very well. I am very confident about your test this time.”
”Don't feel any pressure in your hearts. Don't look at those talented students entering the academy early. They might not even be able to match up to you in the end.”
”So, all of you need to have confidence. Go all out and open this gate to the Holy Land for your future.”
”The future is in your hands. Are you ready?”
”I'm ready at all times.”
The students shouted in unison. Their voices were strong and sonorous, like a young tiger roaring in a forest. They were young and tender, yet they did not lose their resolve.
Following which, the students bowed deeply towards Niu Unyielding, because they knew that regardless of whether they passed the test or not, they would have to leave this place.
During these ten years, there would be a test like this every two years. If you succeeded, you would directly enter the academy.
Over the past ten years, many people had come, and many had entered the academy. They were the last to leave, and were the people with the worst aptitudes.
They had given up before, but the instructor in front of them had never given up.
He encouraged them again and again, pulling them back from the abyss of despair.
Thus, regardless of how it might be today, their gratitude to Niu Buqian was not something that could be expressed with words. All of their gratitude was assimilated into this bow and a deep bow.
Niu Unyielding looked at the student in front of him with a gratified look in his eyes and a smile on his face.
He could not guarantee that every student was the best, but he was certain that the students in front of him were the ones he was most satisfied with.
Looking at the soldier's characteristics on his student body, it was as if he was looking at himself all those years ago.
Even though both of them did not have the same aptitude and had been depressed before, in the end, they still became qualified soldiers to shed some of their blood and youth for humanity.
