Chapter 133 Making Concessions to Avoid Trouble (1/2)

Han Siqi goes out of the study and sees a figure flashing outside.

“Who?” He shouts while quickly rushing out.

The person turns around swiftly and looks at Han Siqi in horror: “Who, who are you?”

The three people in the study also rush out.

Han Sixian asks with confusion: “Siqi, isn’t she the one you arranged to take care of Xingxing at home?”

“I forgot.” Han Siqi immediately explains. In fact, it can not be blamed on him. He has never seen Li Yin at all.

“Sorry, I don’t know there are people in the study. I frightened you.” Li Yin twists her hands together and explains nervously, “Mrs. Han asked me to cook some porridge. She said that Xingxing didn’t eat anything at night, and she was afraid that he would be hungry when he woke up at midnight. I want to go upstairs to see if Xingxing wakes up.”

“OK, go upstairs to have a look.” Han Siqi says in a much softer tone.

“OK.” Li Yin says and then hurries upstairs.

“It is late. Go back to rest.” Han Tengyue says and then goes upstairs, too.

Han Sixian nods at his two brothers and then goes out.

When Han Siqi is about to go upstairs, he sees Ji Muxian standing there thinking about something. He follows Ji Muxian’s eyes to look upstairs and asks: “What’s wrong, Muxian?”

“I think the girl looks familiar.”

Han Siqi remembers that Ji Muxian once trailed Fu Zhengzheng, so he says: “She is Zhengzheng’s friend, so it is possible for you to be familiar with her.”

Ji Muxian doesn’t say anything more. He turns around and leaves.

Han Siqi comes back to his room and finds that Fu Zhengzheng hasn’t gone to bed.

“Why don’t you sleep?” Han Siqi sits on the bed and stretches out his hands. Fu Zhengzheng leans in his arms.

“I can’t fall asleep without you.”

“Zhengzheng, did you hate your parents when they drove you out of the house?”

Fu Zhengzheng looks at Han Siqi with puzzlement and asks: “Why suddenly ask this question?”

“Answer me.” Han Siqi says seriously.

“I have never hated them. My parents are honest and disciplined people. For them, it is a disgrace to have a daughter who is pregnant before marriage, not to mention that no one even knows who his father is! When I chose to give up my studies and bear the title of unmarried mother to give birth to Fu Xing in spite of their objection, I let them down and broke their hearts. How can I hate them?” Fu Zhengzheng says while her eyes turning red, “It has been six years, and I don’t know how they are doing now.”

“With your elder brother’s care, they must be very well.” Han Siqi comforts her, “If I hadn’t had a car accident, we would have met earlier. You and Xingxing would not have suffered so much.”

“You can make it up to us now.” Fu Zhengzheng sniffs, trying to hide her sadness with jokes.

“I will!” Han Siqi pauses and says, “How about we take Xingxing back to A City to see your parents after Spring Festival?”

“Can we?” Fu Zhengzheng’s eyes light up, but they soon become dim, “I am afraid they won’t forgive me.”

“Maybe they have been expecting you and Xingxing to go back? When you were pregnant, your brother kept secretly helping you. Do you think it is possible that they didn’t know?”

Fu Zhengzheng thinks for a while and finds what Han Siqi said is reasonable. Then she immediately becomes cheerful, but soon she finds there is something wrong. She looks at Han Siqi and asks: “Siqi, do you have anything to tell me?”

Han Siqi nods slightly and asks seriously: “Zhengzheng, will you firmly oppose it if I let Qiao Keren off again this time?”

Thinking of the meeting in the study, Fu Zhengzheng immediately asks in a deep voice, “What pressure did Qiao Yunhan put on Weihan again?”

Han Siqi then elaborates on the conversation between him and his big brother.

In the end, he says, “It is better to make concessions to avoid trouble than fighting both in open and secret means.”

After he says that, he can’t believe that it is from his mouth. In the past, he enjoyed fighting.

But after so many unforeseen accidents that happened to Fu Xing, he has to restrain himself.

Fu Zhengzheng stares at Han Siqi and keeps silent for a long time.

She knows Han Siqi’s mind, but Qiao Keren is too hateful! She can not simply forgive her.

But what shocks her is that Qiao Yunhan is willing to make such a great sacrifice for his daughter. For a man who values power so heavily, ending his prosperous career is undoubtedly his most painful and difficult choice!

“Zhengzheng…”

“Just do as your eldest brother said.”

She has to admit that Han Siqi’s previous inquiries about her parents play a role in softening her heart.

Han Siqi didn’t expect her to promise so readily. He asks with worry: “You…”

“I remember when I was very young, my parents taught me a phrase ‘care for my own aged parents and extend the same care to the aged parents of others’. It is not easy to be a parent.” Fu Zhengzheng says emotionally. Then she pretends to smile lightly and says: “We can’t abandon our kindness because other people can not ‘love my own child and extend the same love to the child of others’.”

Then she adds immediately: “But you must let Qiao Yunhan keep his promise. His whole family will never return to B City!”

“Of course! There can’t be any danger around Xingxing.” Han Siqi says firmly.
