Chapter 100 Don’t Think I Am Easy to Be Bullied (1/2)

“Disappeared? That’s impossible! Do you mistake the place? Look for it again!” Fu Zhengzheng is panicked and she joins Nie Wan to look for it.

However, after searching the whole room, they still can’t find the necklace box.

Fu Zhengzheng is going crazy, saying, “Ms Nie, think again. Where else can you possibly put this box?”

Nie Wan shakes her head firmly and answers, “I can’t mistake the place! When Sixian came back in the morning, he only said a few words to me before he heard that there was some problem about the company. Then he handed me the box and asked me to give it to you, and I put it in the drawer!”

“Did you leave the room after that?” Fu Zhengzheng asks urgently.

“I took Xiaoxiao to have breakfast in my mother-in-law’s home and then came back. It took only ten minutes or so.” Nie Wan searches the nearby two drawers and says to herself, “It seems impossible not to steal so many precious jewels but this worthless box. What’s more, Sixian didn’t tell anyone about it! It’s strange.”

A man’s figure flashes through Fu Zhengzheng’s mind. She turns around and runs out, regardless of Nie Wan’s cry behind her.

She comes straight to Ji Muxian’s room and knocks violently at the door, but no one answers. A waiter tells her that Ji Muxian went out in the morning. Then she immediately calls him, but no one answers.

The necklace must have been taken away by him! In this family, only he is interested in the necklaces!

Fu Zhengzheng runs out of Ten-Mile Sunshine Resort and hails a taxi to go straight to the police station where Ji Muxian works, but she is told that he went to the public security bureau for a meeting!

She has no choice but to rush to the public security bureau.

Being stopped outside the conference room, Fu Zhengzheng is so agitated that she is like an ant on a hot pan. Finally when the meeting finishes, she rushes up and almost knocks over Xiao Hui, the director of the public security bureau, who comes out first. Xiao Hui is shocked to see Fu Zhengzheng, but Fu Zhengzheng doesn’t notice him and she slightly avoids him. When she sees Ji Muxian, she cries, “Ji Muxian, come over!”

Ji Muxian seems surprised to see Fu Zhengzheng here. Catching a glimpse of people looking at him with strange eyes, he walks over embarrassedly.

“Why are you here? What’s the matter?”

“Make it clear to me!” When Fu Zhengzheng finds that everyone’s attention is on her, she blushes and says in a lower voice, “Go! Let’s talk outside!”

Then she turns around and walks out. After taking a few steps, she hears no sound behind her. Thinking that Ji Muxian doesn’t follow her, she suddenly stops and looks back, but bumps against Ji Muxian. If he didn’t hold her and stop in time, they would roll on the ground.

People burst into laughter, and someone even cries, “Muxian, you are finally enlightened!”

Ji Muxian’s face darkens. He loosens Fu Zhengzheng and strides out. Fu Zhengzheng bows her head and quickly follows him while her face is becoming hotter and hotter.

People laugh again. Ji Muxian stares at them to break them up. Only Xiao Hui is still standing there, looking thoughtfully at Ji Muxian and Fu Zhengzheng’s back with a smile.

Xiao Hui doesn’t turn around with a smile until they are out of sight. Then he is taken aback by the person standing behind him.

“Yang Tao? Are you back? Is there any progress in the case over there?” Xiao Hui smiles and asks while walking.

“A little.” Yang Tao once again glances at the distance. After hiding his disappointment, he turns around to follow Xiao Hui’s steps.

On the road outside the public security bureau.

Ji Muxian’s face, which is not fair, gets even darker, and he says, “Fu Zhengzheng! Why do you come here to see me?”

Because of what she did today, he will be laughed at by his colleagues.

“Where can I find you if I don’t come here?” Fu Zhengzheng says angrily and stretches out her hand, saying, “Give it back to me!”

“What?”

He is good at acting!

“Necklace!”

“Necklace?”

Seeing that Ji Muxian is still acting, Fu Zhengzheng pauses and then bursts into tears, saying, “It was left behind by my grandma. It is of no use for you, so give it back to me!”

Ji Muxian then understands and he asks, “You mean the necklace that my elder brother is about to give back to you is missing?”

Fu Zhengzheng stares at him tearfully for quite a while before she says, “Didn’t you take it away?”

“What’s the use of the necklace to me?” Ji Muxian sneers.

It looks like that it really wasn’t he who took away the necklace! But who would take it if he didn’t do that?

Fu Zhengzheng is surprised inwardly. She catches a glimpse of Ji Muxian’s stern eyes, and then, for fear that he might be suspicious, she wipes her tears and throws out her chest, saying, “I definitely know that you secretly love me! I will not love you even if you took my necklace!”

“Are you mad?” Ji Muxian finally gets impatient and turns to the bureau.

Fu Zhengzheng doesn’t turn around and leave until Ji Muxian is out of sight.

She comes to a quiet place and tries dialing Yang Tao’s phone number, making an appointment with him in the supermarket where they met before.

“Zhengzheng! Are you all right?” Yang Tao asks as usual when he sees her.

“Yang Tao, I know where the key to the small vault is.” Fu Zhengzheng comes straight to the point.

“The key to the small vault?” Yang Tao is surprised, asking, “Where is it?”

“The Han family.”

Fu Zhengzheng sits down and tells Yang Tao in detail how she met Han Siqi six years ago, the fact that Han Sixian wanted to exchange the necklace for the custody of Fu Xing and that the necklace suddenly disappeared today.

“I didn’t know that the necklace I found was the key to the small vault. I knew that recently! Besides, I learned the day before yesterday that the necklace was in Han Sixian’s hand.” Fu Zhengzheng says and then hurries to explain, “I originally wanted to tell you about these after I get the necklace.”

“What can I say about you?” Yang Tao blames her, “You have already known that so many people in B City were coveting the key, but you always act without authorization. What would Fu Xing do in case something goes wrong?”

“I just want to get the key so that you can have a chance to make up for the mistakes you have made. I owe you so much...”

Yang Tao pats Fu Zhengzheng’s shoulder and shakes his head slightly, “You still don’t know me.”
