Ning Tao and a few other aristocrats chatted for a while. With those who spoke English, he conversed with them in English, while Shalim Talman served as a translator for those who did not know the language.

After that, Ning Tao activated the second state of eyes and nose, and immediately understood Cagu Talman’s health issue.

Shalim Talman approached and hugged her father and brother. She then did the introductions, “Father, brother, this is the miracle doctor from the Hua Country, Ning Tao.”

Ning Tao initiated a handshake and said politely, “Your Highness, nice to meet you.”

Cagu Talman hesitated momentarily, but reached out to shake Ning Tao’s hand lightly. He appeared to be somewhat reluctant.

Right after, Cagu Talman said, “Doctor Ning, I hope you would be able to show us the greatness of the ancient medical skills of your Hua Country and cure Professor Jade, thus creating a miracle in the medical history.”

Ning Tao said, “I’ll try my best. But I can’t make any promises before I see the patient.”

Cagu Talman nodded slightly, then walked past Ning Tao.

Cagu Talman’s moment of hesitation just then had left Ning Tao in slightly awkward position, but he still reached out his hand to Joseph Talman. “Prince Joseph, I’m very happy to meet you.”

Joseph Talman shook Ning Tao’s hand, then spoke into his ear, “Doctor Ning, you should have kneeled down to give your greetings just now. Out of manners, he would not reject the handshake, but your behavior was not appropriate. Didn’t Shalim teach you royal etiquette before coming?”

Ning Tao only felt slightly awkward in the beginning. After all, Cagu Talman was the king of Ruitian, so it was understandable for him to be somewhat reserved. However, after Joseph Talman had exposed him and pointed out his lack of manners, it had left Ning Tao feeling uncomfortable.

Joseph Talman spoke once again, “Also, I’ve heard of what happened in Florence. I don’t know what’s your motive, but let me remind you, if you’re targeting my sister, I’ll advise you to kill that intention immediately. You and my sister will never have a chance together.”

Joseph Talman released Ning Tao’s hand and stepped back. He then looked directly at Ning Tao’s face, seemingly wanting to see Ning Tao’s reaction.

Ning Tao smiled lightly. “Thank you for your advice, it has helped me to remember my identity, which also helps me to understand how to deal with certain things.”

Joseph Talman was slightly taken aback. He didn’t expect Ning Tao to react so calmly.

Joseph Talman glanced at Shalim Talman with eyes filled with warning. He too, then walked past Ning Tao.

Shalim Talman approached Ning Tao’s side and asked softly, “What did my brother tell you just now?”

Ning Tao said, “He asked if I was confident of curing Professor Jade. I said yes.”

There was no need to tell Shalim Talman the truth, because he wasn’t interested in her at all. Joseph Talman thought he wanted to hook up with her, and gave him a stern warning out of his intention to protect his sister. Such a motive was understandable, but its execution was laughable. He didn’t have to bother with Joseph Talman.

Ning Tao said with an intention to probe, “What kind of professor is he? Your father and brother seem to be deeply concerned with his health issues.”

Shalim Talman was about to say something before Joseph Talman cut her off, “Shalim, please invite Doctor Ning to be seated.”

“Doctor Ning, let’s get seated,” Shalim Talman said.

Ning Tao followed after her.
