Chapter 166 Fulfill the Wish to Be a Father (1/2)

The diagnosis given by the ledger of bamboo slips was really beyond Ning Tao's expectation. He thought Barnes was not a good guy. Unexpectedly, he was a great philanthropist.

Barnes donated $8 billion to set up the Peace Foundation to help refugees in war-torn areas. In addition, he adopted 32 orphans. On these two counts alone he was worthy of the t.i.tle of great philanthropist. There were a lot of rich people in the world, but who gave $8 billion to set up a foundation as Barnes did? By contrast, there were lots of rich people in Hua Country, and many of them had done charity, but they were mostly for show—some people donated one million in the hope of making 10 million. There were very few people who really harbored good intentions.

In addition, it was the first time he had seen that the ledger of bamboo slips gave birth dates on the Western calendar, rather than the lunar calendar. It was understandable—the west had no lunar calendar, and Barnes was white through and through.

Barnes leant in and looked at the ledger. Unfortunately, he didn't know the Chinese characters. His lips moved, seeming to want to ask Ning Tao what it said, but Ning Tao's “rules” made him give up. He shut his mouth.

Ning Tao closed the ledger and smiled at Barnes. “Mr. Barnes, you can ask me anything.”

Barnes paused a little, his swollen cake-like face full of confusion.

The good-evil tripod always treated the sick with a smiling face to the good and an angry look to the wicked. Ning Tao seemed to be influenced by it.

“Didn't you just say that I had to do whatever you asked me to do, and that I couldn't ask you questions?” Briefly stunned, Barnes confessed his confusion. Ning Tao's transition left him feeling a little uncomfortable.

Ning Tao smiled and replied. “It's different now. If you don't understand or are curious, I can tell you.”

Barnes thought for a moment and asked, “I want to know how you're going to treat me. You don't have any medical tools or medicines in your first aid kit.”

“I don't treat like other doctors,” Ning Tao replied cooperatively. “I'll write you a prescription pact. If you agree to the terms, you sign it. I will cure your kidneys and prostate, and this treatment will add 70 years to your life.”

Barnes was stunned, and then smiled, “Are you kidding me? I am now 60 years old, and in my condition I expect to live no more than a few years. You said I had 70 years to live, and in that case I would live to be 130. Do you expect me to believe you?”

However, Ning Tao said, “I'm telling the truth. My clinic will extend your life by 70 years. This is your reward. As the owner of the clinic, I will give you some compensation.”

“What compensation can you give me? Do I need your compensation? I started working as a shoeshiner, and today my a.s.sets have exceeded $10 billion. I don't lack anything.” Barnes gave a sigh, “G.o.d is fair to everyone. He gave me a brilliant mind and made me successful in the capital market, but he took away my ability to be a father. I've been having kidney problems and I can't get an erection. I am still unmarried and have no children of my own.”

His Christian faith and his lack of a wife and children seemed to be the reason he gave away $8 billion to set up the Peace Foundation. He knew he wasn't going to live very long, and he had no heirs. Then what was the value of billions to him? So he donated a lot of money to do something meaningful.

It was an accidental act that saved him.

Ning Tao had a brainwave and asked, “Do you want to have a biological child?”

“Of course!” Barnes blurted. “I like children, or I wouldn't have adopted so many orphans.”

Ning Tao smiled and said, “That's easy. I'll give you some devil's kidneys, and you'll get great s.e.xual power after taking them. Find a woman who can bear a child for you, you can fulfill your desire to be a father.”

At his words, Barnes suddenly got up from the futon and walked to the ancestral temple's door, saying, “They may be right. You're a wizard, not a doctor.”

“Then you just think I'm a wizard,” Ning Tao said.

Barnes paused slightly, looked back at Ning Tao, and then he couldn't move his feet. In his sight, two clouds of black and white flames were rising from Ning Tao's hands, shaking and burning in his palms, but his skin was not singed.

Ning Tao put away the two clouds fires, took a Sacred Needles from his small medicine chest, and went to Barnes.

“What… what do you want?” Barnes was a little nervous.

“How many days have you not had a good pee?” Ning Tao asked.

Barnes shook his head and replied, “I don't remember. It's been a long time.”

Ning Tao plunged a Sacred Needle into Barnes' crotch and injected a spark of spiritual power into his body. The spiritual power healed him of the prostate gland, and the compressed urinary tract suddenly widened.

“Oh… Oh…” Barnes had a strange reaction, looking comfortable and miserable.

A minute later, Ning Tao pulled out the Sacred Needle.

Barnes suddenly hunched over his stomach, and got anxious. “I, I need to pee.”

Ning Tao glanced around, and then pointed to a corner. “Here's no toilet, so go pee there.”

Barnes could no longer resist and hurried to the corner. He unzipped his trousers. A stream of water poured out, with an astonishing amount, and in a straight line!

“My G.o.d! This is the best pee I've ever had in my life!” Barnes sighed, his face beaming with excitement.

Even rotten meat tasted good to the hungriest.
