Chapter 137 A Leap of Faith (1/2)

A few kilometers into the mountain, the Toyota off-road vehicle turned out its lights, slowed down, and slid slowly toward a small farm yard ahead.

It was an ordinary farm yard, with a few brick and tile houses and a stone fence. The gates were broken and old, with two door-gods posted on them. No one knew when they were posted up. The two door-gods were Qin Shubao and Yuchi Jingde, but they had become pale, and the figures had been blurred, only the name able to be identified.

Rat made a phone call in the car, saying, ”Mr. Wang, we're back.”

From the phone came a man's voice, asking, ”Are you done yet?”

”Yes. There's no one that the three of us can't handle,” said Rat with some satisfaction. ”But we did not just take the body. The two foreigners had somehow never done anything. The three of us killed him, so you'll have to pay us more.”

”You killed him? Are you kidding me?” The man's voice on the phone sounded alert.

”Why do we lie to you? The body is in our car. Come out and check, but you must give us 600,000 more,” said Rat.

”If you do kill the guy, no problem. I can give you another 600,000. But is the body really in the car?” The man's voice on the phone still revealed his disbelief.

”How many times do I have to tell you, Mr. Wang? Damn, you just come out and check!” Rat was a little impatient.

”I'll be right out.” Then the phone went silent.

The Toyota off-road vehicle skidded to the gate. Monk stopped the car, opened the door and got out. ”Rat, Colored Snake, drag the body out of the car. You guys get to smarten up. Mr. Wang is very cunning.”

”Got it.” Colored Snake and Rat nodded and got out of the car.

Colored Snake grabbed Ning Tao by the legs and pulled him off the car. Ning Tao's back and head hit the ground hard, but he didn't react.

Footsteps were heard in the farm yard. Then the gate was opened and three men came out. The leader was a man in his forties. He was plump, bald, with gold-rimmed glasses, looking quite gentle.

He was Wang Yaoyang.

The two men who followed him were his loyal bodyguards who had followed him for years. When the two bodyguards came out, they put their right hands on the outside of their thighs, and their shoulders were a little taut.

That didn't indicate they had periarthritis of the shoulder. It indicated that they were ready to pull out their guns.

As soon as Wang Yaoyang came out, his eyes fell straight on Ning Tao who was lying on the ground. He saw Ning Tao's face, which was covered with dust and blood, and a footprint. It was too horrible to look at.

Wang Yaoyang took two more steps forward, then pulled out his phone and clicked on a photo from the phone album. It was Ning Tao, standing bolt upright in a security uniform. It was taken when Ning Tao was a student at Shan City Medical University. God knew where Wang Yaoyang got it.

Wang Yaoyang looked at the face of the body lying on the ground, then at the face in the phone photo, and finally confirmed that it was Ning Tao. ”Well done, that's the guy! Well done!”

”Mr. Wang, we've brought the body. What about the money you promised us?” Rat asked.

Wang Yaoyang smiled and said, ”Why are you in such a hurry? I can't come out with 600,000 in cash, right? Come in with me and I'll get you the money.” Then he coughed and suddenly backed away.

The two bodyguards whipped out their guns.

Bang!

With a pistol-shot, a blood hole appeared in one of the bodyguards' head.

It was Monk who shot and he was holding a homemade pistol. As Rat spoke to Wang Yaoyang, he stood calmly beside Wang Yaoyang's bodyguard, who was on Wang Yaoyang his right, his hands behind him silently pulling out the homemade pistol from his belt. When Wang Yaoyang coughed inexplicably and suddenly stood back, he sensed the two bodyguards going to kill them. Therefore, before the enemy finished the action of drawing his gun, he struck first.

The moment the pistol went off, Colored Snake and Rat suddenly pounced on the bodyguard on Wang Yaoyang's left. Colored Snake reached out and grabbed the bodyguard's right wrist, pressing down on the hand that held the gun. Rat, on the other hand, held a saber with a blood groove, and plunged it into the heart of the bodyguard without hesitation.

It all happened so fast that Wang Yaoyang was caught off guard. Before he could fully realize what was going on, two of his bodyguards, who had followed him for years, fell to the ground, one shot in the head, and the other stabbed in the heart with a saber.

Monk blew the smoke on the gunpoint and said lightly, ”Mr. Wang, it's too much of you to do that. The three of us killed a man for you, but you tried to kill us. Tell me, what shall we do?”

Wang Yaoyang's legs suddenly went limp and he flopped to the floor, nervously pleading, ”I... I didn't. It's the two idiots who took the liberty of doing that. Please believe me. I never intended to kill you. I'm definitely not a man to burn bridges.”

Colored Snake kicked him and scolded, ”Damn, do you think I believe you?”

Wang Yaoyang was kicked in the chest and rolled around on the ground before stopping.

Monk grabbed Wang Yaoyang by the hand and dragged him into the yard, saying, ”Colored Snake, Rat, drag the bodies in. We'll deal with them together later.”
