”DIE!” Jackie stabs a zombie in the head. She looks around to see Miley kicking another zombie away from her and the kids.
”MAMA!” Clover wines.
Jackie runs over to stab the zombie in the head. ”There..” She smiles at Miley.
Miley shakes her head. ”We should head back!”
”Miley-”
”We should head back!” Miley looks at her angry.
Jackie sighs. ”I want to keep you safe.”
”I'll be safer with them!” Miley sighs.
Jackie watches her walk away.
Dylan looks up at his mother. ”Mom, shes right”
She nods. ”I know..” She messes with his beanie.
*At the house*
Carrie smiles down at the sleeping baby. She walks out of the room, cracking the door.
”Is he okay?” Finn looks at her.
She nods. ”Yeah. He is a tough baby to get to sleep.” She laughs.
He walks up to her. He freezes and steps back.
She smiles at him. ”I know. I'm sorry.”
He scratches the back of his head. ”It's alright.”
They stand in silence.
”Can...never mind..” She shakes her head.
He raises a brow. ”Go on.”
She smiles. ”It's okay”
He shakes his head. ”No. Tell me.”
”Finn, not right now.” She crosses her arms.
He sighs. ”Fine..” He looks at the ground. Suddenly, he is embraced by her. ”Car-”
”I'm sorry!” She sobs in his chest. Hugging him tight.
He holds her. ”Carrie..”
*Downstairs*
Carley sits on the couch, watching the door.
”Hey..” Kizzy sits next to her.
Carley smiles. ”I don't think we really met.”
Kizzy nods. ”Yeah.”
”Yeah...” Carley looks at the ground. ”Do..do you ever wish things would go back to normal?”
Kizzy sighs. ”Sometimes..”
Carley looks at her surprised. ”Sometimes?”
”It's a long story..” Kizzy pulls her legs to her chest.
Carley nods. ”Got it..”
*Upstairs in one of the bedrooms*
Bailey lays next to Ella while Derek sobs in a corner where his bed is made.
She crawls to him. ”Hi..”
He wipes his eyes. ”I'm fine.”
She shakes her head. ”I know it's not.” She sighs. ”Would you like a hug?”
He nods. Taking in her hug. He sees Ella. ”Is she going to be okay?”
Bailey nods. ”She's hurt. But our parents always said she was strong so she'll get through it.”
He looks at her worried. ”What about you? I know I'm not the only one that lost...someone..”
