62 Boris narrates (2/2)
None of you guys would understand Big Bro Quinn was too close to the Crab and fighting it with everything he had while Lardo just got a glimpse and Kallis didn't even see that Crab.
I was watching the entire battle like a movie; I felt the changes from its enraged beast battling to kill its enemy to a pitiful father rushing to save its kids. From its final crazy attack, I could sense the love and care it held for its baby.”
Boris didn't cry but a deep sense of regret and remorse was apparent on his dark face. Quinn never expected his friend to be this tender and naïve, but then again they were all little kids and if his other two friends were to face the same thing they would also crack up like Boris.
But that's not what baffled him the most, the thing which bothers Quinn most was what Boris was doing throughout his narration.
'It's Okay if you feel guilty or sad at your first kill but why're you eating the eggs while shedding tears for killing the baby?'
Yes, Boris would randomly stuff pieces of boiled eggs into his mouth while narrating his story, he even ate a large chunk of the egg while delivering Guilt Note.
Then Boris sighed after taking a deep breath to cool himself.
”Unfortunately, we can't change anything. This is after all the natural order; the Crab would have killed us if we were weak. But the Crab reminded my father, though I only spent a few days in a month with my parents, I can feel his love...”
Boris went on with telling everything he could remember about his father while reminiscing those wonderful fresh memories. As he wasn't fully concentrating in the oration Boris was delivering the speech in a very disoriented form, bit and pieces with random pauses.
But his sincerity and love for parents pulled Quinn into reminiscing his childhood memories of both the lifetime and he really started to miss his parents after all he didn't see them for half-a-year.
Lardo's life was something similar to Quinn's previous life born with a silver spoon and loving parents yet a rather lonely life. His parents had to take care of the business which had them busy throughout the year.
Thus even though he loved his parents it wasn't like Boris or Quinn; so he wasn't interested in this topic but he chose to silently sit.
After few moments he looked Quinn's absentminded face and shook his head; later he turned to Kallis who was sitting adjacent to him only to find Kallis staring at the walls with red gloomy eyes while gritting teethes.
He could feel intense hatred and disgust from Kallis; Quinn was deeply engrossed in own fantasy so he missed his friend's sudden transformation.
”Kallis is everything all right, why did your eye turn crimson? What's going on?” Lardo started to panic and quickly pulled over to Kallis. At the same time, Quinn woke from his stupor.
[Boss!!! Boss!! something's wrong with your roommate, he's like a beast going berserk.]
Elgar's voice rung in Quinn's head instantly waking him from his stupor; Elgar noticed Kallis sudden transformation, so he warned Quinn to take immediate action.
