60 An Horde of Crabs (2/2)

Quinn unconsciously mutters and felt drunk seeing the wonderful scenery. But Elgar broke the beautiful silence with a wretched yell.

[HOLY CRAP!!! Boss make a run for it, GO, GO GO GO!!! It's a signal for the reinforcement, thousands of crabs will gather in minutes run to the lake.]

At the same time, all the star-like bright light shot the sky but hitting the tall ceilings of the cave. The Giant Crab died from exhaustion but Quinn didn't bother with it.

Quinn abruptly turned around and started his absolute dash, trying to cope with a horde of Crabs is nothing but pipe dreams.

”Elgar, quickly inform my friends tell them to speed up.”

Even while running for his life Quinn didn't forget his friends; Elgar didn't dilly- dally and swiftly notified everyone. Since they only had one map everyone took the same path so Quinn created different obstacles by destroying the rocks and few makeshift traps to slow down the horde.

Though these blockades could slow them down, Quinn's speed also proportionately reduced. Luckily they chose the nearest nest hole, all they could do is pray that the lake keeps the crabs at bay.

Lardo caught up Kallis in a few minutes, after all, Kallis is the slowest runner so it was nothing surprising; so even when Lardo was carried Boris he managed to outrun Kallis.

Quinn was actually trying to cover their retreat. When Quinn was halfway through Kallis and Lardo reached the lake.

After Quinn received the news he picked his speed without turning his back Quinn dashed like a madman to the lake. Fortunately, he made reached the lake at the nick of the time escaping the horde of crabs.

Quinn to breaths to recover while enquiring if everything was fine; all of them stood by the lake nervously waiting for Horde.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *THUD...THUD...

All their heartbeat raced as the sound became louder and louder; Quinn didn't expect the horde to blow away all his obstacles and trap with just a *BOOM*. As the horde advance, it came closer and closer, it was like a large army of crabs seamlessly marching towards them with perfect coordination.

”Elgar, what's going on?”

Quinn couldn't contain his anxiety so he asked Elgar if he knew anything.

The Blind old man was watching the entire battle and he knew everything about Dark Star Crab Caves; normally smart kids will drop the quest ending their adventure while the stubborn fools would try their best before crying for help.

Only true genius will dare to challenge the crab again and really succeed the Quest by surviving 4 days while hunting now and then.

But none of the students so had any sort of information about the horde, so they were brave enough give it a try; whilst Quinn had Elgar to give him info about the Crabs.
