19 Dormitory Part 1 (1/2)

While Blake was talking a white stone suddenly appeared in his hand, it was probably taken from his storage device. Then he placed stone on Quinn's forehead and told.

”Quinn this is 'Soul Sealing Gem' it helps in concealing your real natal soul. If the news about your Grade 10 natal soul is known to the world, you will get unnecessary attention which is detrimental for your growth so we better to hide it. This process will be bit painful so bear with it.”

Then Blake crushed the gem with his hands and a white radiance shot from the crushed stone and entered Quinn Glabella. The process was very painful but not unbearable so he easily bore it.

But still he decided to put an act and pressed his forehead with both his hands and shouted like he was suffering from hellish pain. Blake pressed Quinn's glabella with his thumb. The pain lessened after that and Quinn stopped shouting.

”Moreover, never ever utter a word about your Basic Soul to anyone not even to your closest friend. At least wait till you graduate from the school and safe-guard this secret like your life depends on it.”

After that Blake hesitated a bit before speaking.

”Quinn here is piece of advice 'the possibility of outsmarting oneself is very high when one is ignorant.'” After finishing Blake asked Quinn to take bath and get ready to go to the dorm.

He was trying to act like a dignified grandfather in front of his grandson. So he didn't chitchat and tried to be a bit strict. Quinn wasn't bothered with Blake's attitude as he knew Blake cared about him very much.

Quinn even felt it was refreshing to have a strict grandpa. While Quinn was bathing he was considering Blake's last lines as he felt there was some hidden message in it.

On the surface it seemed like Blake warning him to keep quiet about his soul grade and Basic Soul but there was also something hidden as if he was trying to implying something else. Quinn felt dizzy as he couldn't make heads or tails out of it.

After pondering a bit, he decided to treat it like some old beggar's blabber and forget about it. After taking a shower he had a very simple breakfast with Blake. Only after eating an ordinary breakfast Quinn started to miss his mother and her tasty food.

After breakfast Blake took him to his hover car, it was very old and dirty. Quinn was astonished to see such a car as everyone in this world will have at least one android and so even if one is very lazy all manual work would be done by the android.

Quinn didn't find any android in Blake's house and he assumed that Blake was a bit old-fashioned and did all his work by himself. Generally old people are active and Quinn expected Blake to be this type of person.

But after seeing the car he was speechless and Quinn knew that he was mistaken. Blake was really a lazy old coot. Blake got in the car even without even bothering to cleaning the dirty car.

After half-an-hour the car stopped. The ride was a bumpy and once they nearly got into an accident, because one of the boosters failed. After some self-repair it somehow started again and safely dropped them.

Because the ride was very bumpy and scary Quinn couldn't even checkout the city, in fact even if the car went smoothly he will still fail to see as the windows cracked and very dusty.
