12 Sweat and Tears (2/2)
”My name is Professor Li Zhao, I will be your combat professor for this semester!”
”Student greets Professor Li Zhao!”
Li Zhao nodded as he continued to scan the students in front of him, trying to find the western boy that everyone was talking about.
However, he couldn't seem to find any more westerners other than the two girls. The older one was a black haired girl that seems to be around 8 years old, and the younger one had white hair and seems to be about 4 years old.
'Hmph. To not even dare be present during the first day of class, that western boy seems to think that the academy is a playground he can just come and go as he pleases', Li Zhao knitted his eyebrows and shook his head. 'But… the number of students seem to be correct'.
”Where is the student called Viel?”, Li Zhao asked the students.
”Student greets Professor Li Zhao!”
Li Zhao was stunned to see that the white haired child who he thought was a girl is actually a boy. Furthermore, the boy called Viel didn't seem to be as amazing as the rumors told him to be. He recollected himself quickly so as not to look like a retard in front of his students.
”I heard you were strong. But I would like everyone here to know there will always be people stronger than you. Come to the stage!”, Li Zhao beckoned Viel as the jumped to one of the dueling platforms in the courtyard.
All of the students exclaimed when they heard this, they had the first hand experience of seeing what this white haired boy was capable of and a commotion immediately broke down.
”W-what!? A fight between a teacher and a student, who do you think will win!?”
”W-well, Viel is a monster for sure. But I don't think he will win, after all, Professor Li Zhao is older!”
”I think so too. I also heard some great things about professor Li Zhao, they say professor Li Zhao is one of the youngest professors to be accepted in the Academy. His strength is almost on par with Examiner An Da and has a power level of 800! That's the 4th stage of Nature Realm and almost half a step away from the Earth Realm!”
”R-really!? I heard was just at Soul Pinnacle Realm 3 years ago? Then Viel really has no way of winning this!”
”You guys are wrong! Viel will win this!”, a girl's shout can be heard amongst the bickering, the source of the voice, however, can't be determined.
”Enough! Whether or not Viel can defeat me is still not set in stone.”, Li Zhao scolded the students but he couldn't help but reveal an arrogant smile. Li Zhao was clearly pleased that the students are praising him.
”Student Viel! What are you still waiting for!? Do you not know that our time is limited!?”, Li Zhao shouted, completely asserting his dominance.
To his surprise, Viel was just staring at him with a blank expression.
”I told you Viel has no chance of winning, he is even too scared to move! L-look, i-is he crying!?”, one of the students exclaimed.
To everyone's surprise, tears suddenly flowed down from Viel's eyes. Seeing this, Li Zhao started to panic, thinking he went too far on the scolding.
”S-student Viel, t-this is just a test! Look, I will not even use my hands! There is no need to cry!”, Li Zhao placed his hands behind his back. The truth is, Li Zhao has no intention of hurting Viel, he was just going to dodge and play around with the child so as to set an example to others that there will always be people stronger than you, and maybe boast a little.
After all, the Headmaster said that there is likely an immortal backing up Viel. An existence that does not dare offend.
Li Zhao was about to say something else before he heard a tiny voice.
”Professor…you sound very familiar”
