Hongqi was taken aback by Xiulan's sudden accusation. He was confused why he was included in her rant when she's only angry at Pierre.

”What did Pierre do to you for you to become this mad and even include me?” Hongqi tried to ask again and even joke around to lighten up her mood a little bit. He was curious what happened between the two. If only he was near UU mall a while ago, he could have barged inside Pierre's tea shop and knocked him out.

”Tell me what did that bastard do to you?” Hongqi asked again and was about to reach Xiulan's arms to embrace her but Xiulan swiftly blocked his hands and she glared at him.

Hongqi only observed his wife's facial expression and mood, she's angry. He didn't try to utter anything stupid anymore and would only listen to her woes. He just came back from a boring two hours meeting. He didn't want to listen to anyone anymore after that meeting, He only wanted peace and to cuddle but he wants to understand her so he will be patient and listen to her.

She might be glaring but for some unknown reason her eyes suddenly became blurry and teary. She doesn't understand where these soon to be tears are coming from but she was feeling emotional.

”That asshole! Gosh! He won't let go of my hand and kept asking me annoying stuff about our marriage. He knew a lot about this marriage. Did you said anything to him? I am fine with you saying secrets to him but you should tell him not to be so loud about it! He was the most annoying person I have ever met!” This is the first time she ranted her emotional woes with someone and especially with the opposite sex. Though she didn't try to mention the full details, especially the part about Zhao Lingyu.

Hongqi's eyes darkened for a second. He felt a sudden murderous intent to kill Pierre right now. That blabber mouth sure knows how to ruin someone's harmonious relationship. He even held her hands! Hongqi's hands balled into fist. He quickly hid his hands so Xiulan won't see his anger. He should beat him up when he meets that bastard again.

”Don't worry. I'll teach him a lesson when I see him on the next business summit meeting this weekend. As his close childhood friend, I apologize for his behavior. He is really a shithead that you shouldn't be friends with. When you see him in public, retreat immediately.” Hongqi calmly apologized but deep inside he was fuming! Out of all of his rich friends, Han Pierre was the bravest among them and the most annoying psychopathic too.

”Definitely, I will run when I see him. He's a nightmare.” Xiulan savagely remarked. She never wanted to encounter that man, ever!

”He said a lot of mean things. I'm not the type to dwell on bad comments but he was really shady and disrespectful. Is he like that to strangers? I am sure I was a stranger to him and vice versa. I didn't know him at all until I heard his name from my secretary.” Xiulan fumed and quickly took her mobile phone to show Hongqi the articles written about them.

”This! Look at this!” Xiulan showed him the atrocious articles. ”I don't want to offend you that much since you are friends with him, but I'm going to honestly say this to you that I don't want to be associated with him.”
