70 Chapter 70 : Asking Hongqis Permission (2/2)

”Weak!” Yingpei couldn't help but secretly curse these scared men.

”Really? But it looks important to me since father mentioned it.” Hongqi mustered a friendly smile to show to these old men. He tried to be friendly to them since they are from the army and friends of Song Yingpei.

Though he already used the Song name for his selfish needs, he still wanted to extend his power and alliance. This will be a good oppurtunity to be closer to the army.

Though his grandfather is already considered as an oligarch [1] and also the old geezer from the Han family, but for Xing Hongqi, he definetely wanted his name that have its own superiority and to be considered an oligarch.

The men nervously looked at each other and conversed through their eyes. Hongqi noticed this and he concluded that they might request something big from him. He expects that they will ask for a huge sum of money or for a collaboration. But he did not expect that they will be asking for his wife.

”If young master Xing wouldn't mind, but we need your wife's hacking skills again? We already asked Song Yingpei about it but he said that we should ask you first.” one of the peers said. He may be nervous but out of desperation to get the skillful Xiulan, he will have a thick face and asked the husband for permission.

Hongqi's brief surprised expression was caught by the old peers. ”He didn't expect this? Doesn't he?” The old peer subconsciously guessed.

”I heard that my wife will be free from any government work for a whole year. Maybe after that, I would consider letting her go work with the army again. But for now, I want my wife to rest. Add that she also has serious internal problems in her company. Please let my wife have her peace and rest for a year.” Hongqi humbly answered and pleaded to them to let his wife have a rest.

Actually, he was genuine about what he said. But also the most important thing, the time he has with her will be divided again. The snu-snu time with her will be disrupted too. He doesn't like that idea at all.

”I see. Yes, we did promise about that. Right, we will wait for a year. Thank you for letting us know your opinion.” One of the peers said. He respectfully and apologetically bowed to Honqi, same with the rest.

Hongqi only smiled to them and went back to conversing with Song Yingpei. He reported to his father-in-law the progress of the company and also the collaboration he has with Xiulan's company.

The old Song Yingpei was happy with what he was hearing.  Who wouldn't be happy that his daughter have a good relationship with a man like Xing Hongqi? Add that the Song family business is on its peak because of Hongqi's influence and effort. He was really happy of this progress.

Han Pierre might be talking to some potential business partners but his eyes and attention were at Hongqi and Yingpei.

For Pierre, the Song family are too righteous and strict to their pure principles. Because of this, they were oddly favored by the mass. Song Yingpei might be righteous but since the Han family are oligarchs, the army under Yingpei's reign back then weren't able to lay a finger on the Han family.

Even how loud and messy the drug trade that was cause by the Han family back then, the army and government weren't able to lay a finger or even put them in jail because they were oligarchs.

It's not that he was afraid or weak, it's just a great order from the higher-ups.

Even though this event and the upcoming business summit are hosted and sponsored by the scandalous Han family, Song Yingpei will not mind them. He is here as a businessman and he wouldn't dare to offend an oligarch. Though Yingpei is also considered an oligarch, he knows what not to do and what to do.

Han Pierre can't help but applause Hongqi's great tactics. He's definitely the right person to idolize when it comes to business and scheming.

The security company Hongqi was aiming for will be finished soon and he managed to get the right connections. Once that security company is up and running, the oligarchs' power will be uncontrollable.
