33 Chapter 33: The Partner to Save the Country (1/2)

Lau Zhu's thoughts were suddenly interrupted when the elevator going down to the parking lot created a loud ding sound.

Her thoughts were all over the meeting she attended awhile ago. This woman called Mrs. Xing Xiulan was unexpectedly and genuinely very kind and nice for someone who is damn rich and married to that ruffian Xing Hongqi.

She expected that she'll meet an overbearing madam but to her surprise she met an angel instead, a beautiful angel in the middle of this chaotic S city.

She's somewhat relived that her perverted and malevolent boss, Mo Dejiang, still has a kind friend. She really thought Mo Dejiang has sold himself to the devil since all of his acquaintances are people who committed crime for money and power.

Lau Zhu's phone suddenly rang and she's not surprise anymore that her boss will immediately calls her. That damn man sure is excited to hear all the things that happened this morning.

”Boss, I will return to the office after 10 minutes.” Lau Zhu answers the phone and immediately ends it as well without waiting for Dejiang to even utter one word. It may look disrespectful but that's how she communicates with Dejiang.

”Zhuuuuu~” Mo Dejiang created an annoying sound as he greeted Lau Zhu as soon as she laid her foot inside his office.

”Young Master Mo.” Lau Zhu respectfully greeted and bowed.

Dejiang put his right arm on Lau Zhu's shoulder like they were good pals and guided her to sit on the luxurious sofa inside his office while he chatted.

”Enough of the usual greetings. Let me hear everything that happened awhile ago.” Dejiang excitedly said and he sat opposite of Lau Zhu.

”Secretary Han, please give our wonderful Zhu some tea.” Dejiang added and creepily smiled at Lau Zhu. He was indeed excited to hear the good news.

Lau Zhu can't help but to nod to start her reports.

As soon as Lau Zhu set foot inside Xiulan's company floor. She immediately noticed that the place was dominated by women. Not a single sight of a man. It was quite an amazing sight for Lau Zhu since all her life as a special guard and sometimes a mercenary; she was always surrounded by men. She suddenly thought that this Mrs. Xing Xiulan might be a feminist. But it's impossible for a feminist to be friends with that hoodlum boss her hers.

The office's interior was simple and minimalist. Though expensive flowers can be seen everywhere especially inside the secretary's office.

Lau Zhu was greeted by a very beautiful and fashionable Secretary Wang Dandan. She was young and very professional looking. Secretary Dandan guided her towards the door of the office of Mrs. Xing and opened it for her as well.

Lau Zhu was not surprised anymore when she saw how Mrs. Xing's office was full of flowers again. ”Is this woman obsessed with flowers?” she asked herself.

A petite and fairy-like woman greeted her with an enchanting smile that she can't take her eyes off. Lau Zhu did not expect that she'll be meeting someone whose beauty can compete with popular actresses and models. She expected that she'll look plain or the typical IT nerd. No wonder her perverted boss was willing to be a puppy for this woman.

Lau Zhu politely greeted Mrs. Xing Xiulan. ”Good morning, Mrs. Xing. Young Master Mo has sent me to help whatever endeavors you wanted to finish. Nice to meet you.”

Xiulan chuckled at Lau Zhu's very formal greeting. ”Nice to meet you too, Miss Lau Zhu. How can I address you?” Xiulan said and pointed Lau Zhu to sit.

”Please, just call me Zhu.” Lau Zhu politely answered.

”Hmm… okay. Zhu, I'm not sure what Dejiang told you about this job but the timeline for this mission is unpredictable. So it may take awhile and you'll be stuck with me for quite long” Xiulan started and teasingly smiled.

”Yes. Young Master Mo explained to me how crucial this mission will be that's why he sent me to be your help. I have my information here since it seems that my boss forgot to send it to you. I am willing to do whatever it takes to finish this mission and also to protect you.” Lau Zhu honorably said and she handed out a file that contains her personal information and curriculum vitae to her new temporary boss.

”Oh by the way, are you allergic to flowers or pollens? I have a lot of flowers inside the office right now. I can't just throw them away. Sorry. If you are allergic, we can go to a nearest coffee shop.” The very beautiful and considerate Mrs. Xing apologetically said.

”No, I am not allergic. No need to transfer.” Lau Zhu said and gave a brief smile.

”Okay, good. I'm really lazy to transfer as well. Hehe.” Mrs. Xing smiled. ”These days I usually have to meet some clients and friends outside my office due to a pollen allergy attack. My husband sent flowers everyday ever since we met. I told him to stop but he's not listening. I just can't throw gifts so they all stay here and outside my office.” Mrs. Xing explained. Lau Zhu thought that the Xing couple were really close and seems to be in love with each other. Too bad for her boss though.

To outsiders, Xiulan and Hongqi's relationship was indeed goals since both of them are in good terms and they are young, beautiful and very rich. Also how they both addressed each of their spouse respectfully to their friends or acquaintances. They never talk badly about each other. Though Xiulan has said something to her family but it was not a blatant mean and slandering words. They don't know that these two are just naturally good in creating a persona of a good wife and husband.

Lau Zhu only nodded to Xiulan's explanation and waited for her to finish reading her resume. The beautiful fairy-like Mrs. Xing smiled while she reads the document. Xiulan's face and smile were really pleasing to the eyes. No wonder that haughty perverted Mo Dejiang was willing to lend her capabilities to this woman. She wanted to snort.
