”Yes, booked! We all know Hongqi beds top rated actresses whenever he can.” The huge-eyed girl giggled. That giggle made Xiulan uncomfortable. It gave off different kinds of meaning.

”Ah… maybe or maybe not. We all know how he's very dutiful to his wife now.” The glasses girl retorted.

”Hmph! Yeah, but only now! He's Xing Hongqi, do you think he will stay loyal? I don't believe any of that crap. I bet he's just being nice in front of his wife and the media but I bet he has of tons of side chicks. Also he married a very boring nerdy IT CEO. Hongqi's bored of her.” The huge-eyed girl continued slandering both Hongqi and Xiulan.

”That's not a nice thing to say. She's actually very pretty and nice. My big brother has a crush on her as well. He said that he have seen her one time in a mall in district Y in S city.” The glasses girl tried to give some praises but the huge-eyed girl was such a meanie.

”She might be pretty but all of Hongqi's past lovers are pretty as well. They will be over in no time.” The huge-eyed girl continued her spicy words when Xiulan's attention went to her phone's continuous ringing.

She quickly answered it without checking who the caller was.

”Hello?”

”Dear, where the hell are you? I've been calling you so many times.” Hongqi exasperatedly said and there was an obvious annoyed tone in his voice.

”Uhm… I'm currently watching Dragon Music Awards. You have a lot of fans.” Xiulan quickly said and she didn't lie. The place was so loud and it's not easy to lie.

Hongqi sighed in relief. He thought this little wife will try to lie to him. He's now extremely happy. His appointed guard told him this afternoon that Xiulan left the office too early and went directly to DMA's venue. It caused him so much anxiety since the venue is really big and crowded. What if something bad happen to her? Add to his anxiety that he wasn't able to call her this morning to even tell her that he has arrived. He thought a lot of crazy stuff that she might be offended or sulk that's why she's not answering his calls.

Now that he knew she was busy watching DMA, he beamed. ”Was she there to see him give an award and speech?” he excitedly asked himself.

Park Mi-young, who was just in front of Hongqi raised her eyebrows when she saw this handsome and important XRE CEO beaming while talking on the phone. His cold demeanor awhile ago was all scraped off while talking on the phone.

”Who the hell is he talking to?” Park Mi-young got jealous. She was so happy that she's Hongqi's partner in the red carpet yet he's not even giving her the attention she wanted. Yes, he was a gentleman but he didn't even give her any mixed signals. She was fuming!

She thought that he will flirt with her since the rumors about him were really hot.

”Since you're here, let's go home together.” Hongqi sweetly said and checked his watch. It's only 7 pm and the show will be finished by 10 pm. ”Tsk, 3 more hours.” Hongqi frowned.

Hongqi doesn't know why but he suddenly misses that little wife of his. The way he teases her and her annoyed expressions made him happy. The way she ignores his presence but still would oblige to his requests and she would take care of him. He suddenly misses that. Since most of the women he has met for business and in gatherings were all swooning over him and trying to get his attention. He was so tired of it.

”Hmm… let me think about it. I'm not sure if I will finish the event. I just came here to check on something.” Xiulan said and she glanced at her tablet again.

”So far nothing suspicious or dangerous.” Xiulan thought.

Xiulan thought that next time she will try to ask someone to go to this kind of events for her or she would plant a small device on the next venue instead so she can hack remotely. Attending an awards night was not for her. She hated crowds so much.

Hongqi pouted when he heard Xiulan. ”What did you check anyway?”

”I only wanted to see if my crush is really handsome in person.” Xiulan lied. That's the only alibi she can think of.

”Who?! Who the hell is that celebrity?” Hongqi suddenly stand up from his seat that startled Secretary Yang Bo, Park Mi-young and the rest of the staff inside the room.

”Uhmm… uh…” Xiulan's not really good in celebrity names and it's not a good thing to utter a celebrity's name right now. Either Hongqi might do something stupid or Andy Gao's fans might kill her if she utter someone else's name while she was in their turf.

”Uhm… it's… ah my signal is not so good tutututut… I will tututut call you tututut later… husband… Bye!” Xiulan faked the poor connection and immediately ended the call.

As she sighed like a depressed person, the two Andy Gao fans beside her were looking at her suspiciously. She made a peace sign at the two girls since she can't smile at them. The two girls smiled at her and their attention went back to the stage but the huge-eyed girl made some side comments.

”With that obvious disguise not to be recognized, I bet she's lying to her husband. Can't even go to this kind of events without showing her face. What a pity!”

”Her husband must be jealous or worried.” The glasses girl replied.

”Hmph! Still! If ever I got married to a husband like she has. I will immediately divorce him. I will not let him ruin my happiness with Andy Gao.” Huge-eyed girl angrily declared.

”Ahh… really what a pitiful fan.”

Xiulan sighed in relief. She thought the two girls knew she was Mrs. Xing.

Xiulan watched and stayed for another hour before she decided to leave the venue. Since she didn't bring her car, she hailed a cab instead.

Xiulan was able to hail a cab quickly. She was about to text Hongqi that she'll go home first and she's already inside a taxi. She'll just wait for him back in the penthouse when suddenly there was a huge explosion on the rooftop of the dome. The driver hasn't driven that far yet when the explosion happened.

Xiulan was nervously shocked when she heard the explosion and saw a huge fire forming on top of the dome.

”Please stop! Stop! I need to go back to the dome.” Xiulan panicked and demanded to the old driver.

”Huh? It's dangerous! Why would you go back there?” The driver looked at Xiulan like she grew a horn on her head. He can't believe this lady would want to go back especially that there was an explosion.

”My husband is inside the dome! I need to go back! My husband! ” Xiulan exclaimed and begged to the driver to stop the car.

The driver was hesitant at first but then gave in and stopped the car.

”Miss, please be careful.” The old driver worriedly said to Xiulan.

”Thank you. I will.” Xiulan nodded and gave her thanks to the old driver. She swiftly ran going back to the dome and prayed that nothing bad or extreme will happen to everyone inside. It was such a huge explosion too.

”Please, let everyone be okay and in one piece.” She prayed. She was really frustrated that right after she exited that damn place, the trouble will come immediately. What an amazing timing it was.

Xiulan pull out her tablet while running and tried to search on the footages the part where the explosion happened while she trots back to the dome.

”I hope that annoying husband is okay. He has a lot of bodyguards... but still...” Xiulan nervously pursed her lips. She was so worried. Hongqi might be annoying but still he's family for her.

Xiulan increased the speed of her run and was determined to save her annoying husband and everyone else. She doesn't know how but she will!
