”I... am alright...hah... I just exhausted... lots of mana...” Moonlight said as she tried to catch her breath. She can barely make her body stand up properly but she is hanging on.
”Are you sure you are okay?” I was worried at her. She was like in so much pain. Maybe that magic circle earlier made her so exhausted. I can see that the Teleport Magic Circle in Diet Building is not something to be taken lightly. The layers and the length of the chant she chanted earlier is not an easy feat, moreover, transporting us so far away.
”Don't worry...I can recover... after a few minutes of rest. Do not worry about me...” Moonlight said. It was clear that she was recovering but she is still having a hard time recovering her mana. She still looked pale but her complexion is much better than earlier when we just arrived.
Now I understand why Moonlight had to depart so early in the morning to go to the Council. It was due to the fact that it was tasking enough to maintain and also, the fact that the mana consumption of a single Magic circle consumes almost all of your mana dry, it will take a while before you can activate your next mana. So this is how taxing it was to properly reach the council?
”Why does the council need to be so elaborately be set up like this? Its so time and mana tasking,” I commented.
”Everything has a reason young man and even this is all done for that reason. Even our meeting has a reason why we meet each other today, young lad,” this was not Moonlight speaking but a voice of a man. I looked behind me and I saw a middle aged man around the age of 30 standing behind us with both his hands behind him. He has a dignified aura and a noble look. When I tried sensing his mana, I was stunned. He was overflowing with mana and from what Moonlight and Volta described, this was a high leveled rank of magician.
