31 Loves At First Sights (1/2)

Jiang Chen enters the Ice Moon Sect's main gates. Although the sect was open to outsiders during the event, the areas you can access were only the stage and the front gate. Even the males who are married to the disciple are placed under strict moderation and can't even walk out of the building without someone to supervise them.

Streams of people of both genders have gathered beneath the stage. Since the Ice Moon Sect was one of the top 10 sects to join, the event is considered a heavenly rite of passage.

After getting signed up with the woman at the booth, Jiang Chen had time to look around.

The ladies of the Ice Moon Sect were truly classical beauties in the cultivation world. Since they cultivated the sect's cultivation methods, they developed an icy demeanor that suited well with their looks. Even the ugliest girl from the sect would be hailed as a goddess if she were to visit any village out in the country.

A blast of chilling emerged from nowhere as a giant sword slowly landed onto the stage. Hundred of beautiful maidens stepped off of the sword with a middle-aged woman in the front. The sword shrunk down and floated in front of the woman before being sucked into her interspatial ring.

”I, Leng Shui, am honored to welcome the Four Cultivation Kings to my lowly sect's event. I also welcome the rest of you to this year's Ice Enrollment Battle.”

Leng Shui politely bowed towards four people who were seated in the sky. Four pieces of rock with chairs on them were suspended in the air. The people who sat on them couldn't be seen from the ground and had an otherworldly aura.

Although the Four Cultivation Kings' status is directly below that of the ancient cultivators, their word is law within the mortal realm. Having all four of them attend your event is probably be the best things that would happen to you in your life.

”Rules and procedures will be the same as the previous years. One person will enter the stage and shout who they would like to compete with. Males winners are only allowed into the sect only if they are married to one of our disciples. Female winners, on the other hand, are allowed to freely join the sect. Winners will be placed above the loser's position on the sect's Ranking Board. Is there any questions before we begin?”

There was no response from the crowd.

”Then, I would like to officially begin Ice Moon Sect's annual Ice Enrollment Battle.”

Many people who planned on participating shouted with excitement.

Most of the battles ended up with the challenger's defeat, however, some would manage to barely overcome their opponent.

On Top Of The Four Platforms

On the platforms, there were two old men, one middle-aged man, and a young girl.

The two old men, who were sitting in the middle two seats, had the stereotypical look from Asian movies. They were both white-haired and had a long white beard that would be stroked every now and then. Although they had the look of someone who is about to kick the bucket, the old men had the vitality of a young teen.

On the very right, the middle-aged man sat with extreme confidence overflowing from him. His slightly pale face and well-groomed skin can easily make him the idol of many girls. Even while sitting down on a chair, his well-statured body is able to seen by others.

The girl, on the left, had a rigid feeling with her gaze. Indifference and harsh seemed like the words that would describe who she is.

The old man on the right said with a raspy voice to the middle-aged man directly next to him.

”Xiao Ming, that previous girl wasn't bad. How about having her as a wife?”

”You can't be serious, Old Geezer? That girl isn't up to par with my standards.”

”You can't be picky these days... Other than Yuan Qiang here, the other girls don't have this type of talent.”
