26 Sneaking around (1/2)

Guinevere cept on thinking of this guy she spotted this morning, she never saw him walk around here at all. Her intrest in him made her decide she will keep it quiet from the rest, Ezbar told them always to be in bed by eight, but this time she was going to sneak out and see if this guy maybe walks around at night.

That night she waited until ten, knowing by now everyone was asleep. She snuck out and slowly creeped down the hall, she purposefully wore socks to keep her noise down.

”Youre sneaking around late” Rachel said in her head.

”Not now” Guinevere wispered back in her head making Rachel laugh.

”Why are you whispering in your thoughts? Only i can hear your thoughts anyway”

Guinevere realised that was rather stupid.

”Guinevere” a whisper behind her, Cate came sneaking up to her.

”What are you doing here?” Guinevere whispered.

”Did you also hear the noises?” Cate asked.

”Well not now, but i caught someone raiding the frige this morning early”

”So im not going crazy after all” Cate said and passed her, the two sisters sneaked to the kitchen. Cate peeked in, Guinevere peeked past her lower, there was no one. They entered calmly.

”How did he look?” Cate asked.

”Ssh” Guinevere said ”Not so loud”

”Hes not here” Cate whispered again.

”Yes, but lets not give ourselves away just yet”

They both heard something come down the hall.

”Hide!”

Both girls found a good hiding spot and waited. But the noise didn't come into the kitchen, in fact the noise completely vanished. Cate yawned coming out.

”I dont know Guinie, im too tired to do this” She said and went to the frige taking a glass with her.

”I know what i saw” Guinevere said climbing out the cupboard she hid in. Cate poured herself a glass of milk and leaned against the kitchen table.

”Well then go look for him”

”Im going to” Guinevere snuck out the kitchen down the hall, Cate chuckled drinking her milk, she finished up and put the glass in the sink, then opened the fridge to put the milk away, thats when something on top of the fridge caught her attention, two yellow eyes, She screamed and swung at it with the jar of milk, connecting it somewere in the dark behind the light of the fridge. She heard a shreek upon impact, Cate ran to the light switch and switched it on. There a cat scurrled onto its feet, red fur, short tail, black longish ears with tufts of fur on the tips, it was that thing's yellow eyes she saw.

”Sssh sssshh scram!” She waved with her hands but one of its ears dropped.

”Seriously? You're trying to scare me like that?” He asked and her eyes widened.

”You can talk?”

”Look who's talking?” He said back.

”Im not a cat” Cate said putting her fists on her hips.

”No, but i can sense one in you, you're like me. No wonder doctor Ezbar didn't want us to move around at daytime, and also forbid us to go to certain areas in his lab, it was because of you” he said coming closer.

Cate heard that exact same story but only not at night, instead off day.

”My name is Cate she said coming over to him”

”Im Sylvester” she bent infront of him and scratched his head.

”You're kinda cute arent you?” She giggled.

”Hey, in my human form im rarher formidable, and in my saber form im even greater”

”Oh? Then show me” She said standing up, Sylvester released that pent up feeling and let go of tension, his body grew out of its cat form into his human form.

”That was Cate screaming again” Guinevere said, she was now in a section of the labs she wasn't supposed to be in, there was a staircase leading down and a whole new lab system lead under ground.

”She's scared of the dark remember, leave her, this is too interesting” Rachel said, she was right, Guinevere was caught up in curiosity. She took a sniff in the air, there was a scent she remembered from last night.

”Its his, follow it”

She got to a door and entered, there was a room with two beds, tables and clothing racks stood at the feet of the beds. She explored the room looking at the table and opening its drawers, pictures of cars, girls in bikinis, and motorcycles, this desk definitely belonged to a boy.

”Sylvester, i think its safe to go up now” Someone said comming in, Guinevere dropped in under the bed.
