I lay down on the bed and quickly fell asleep again. It was two days before I woke up again.
After getting up, I drank some of the chicken soup Jiang Yueluo made for me. I had recovered about seventy to eighty percent of my strength, so I was really worried about the child's health. Thus, I struggled to get up from the bed in order to check on the child's condition.
But I didn't know which hospital the child was in. I could only run to the help desk and ask the doctor and the nurse.
It was at that moment that I heard the doctors and nurses behind me say that they were no longer discussing these things. I wasn't very curious, but I could hear them discussing something about babies.
”I wonder if the mother of that little boy in ward Zhou Zijin has woken up. If we don't do the surgery now, I'm afraid …”
”I seemed to have seen someone come visit them today, but they left after staying for a while. Ai, this child's life is really bitter.”
”Then what should we do? We can't operate without the family's signature, but the child's life is in danger if we don't sign it now …”
I heard the doctor and nurse talking about the child, and for some reason I had a strange feeling.
Perhaps it was human nature, and I felt pity for that poor child.
But I don't care. I just want to take care of my own children.
”Hello, help me find out which ward Ye Xia is currently in.”
The nurse looked it up for me.
”Zhou Zijin.”
”What!”
I felt like I had been struck by lightning. I stood there, my head buzzing.
The conversation between the doctor and nurse just now was still echoing in his ears. Just what was going on!?
Ignoring the wounds on my foot, I ran to the door of Ye Xialang's ward.
The child had a ventilator on his head and was covered in tubes.
”Stars!”
I rushed in, and there was only the nurse with the star needle. When she saw me, there was a flash of surprise.
”How is my son! How is my son now! ”
I grabbed the nurse by the shoulder and shouted hysterically, and the nurse was clearly taken aback by my sudden noise.
”Miss, calm down first …” ”The patient needs rest now, so don't make too much noise, otherwise it will disturb her rest...”
Listening to the nurse's words, I had to recover my senses. I quickly quieted down and sat on the stool next to the bed, quietly looking at the stars.
After the nurse had given the star the shot, I asked the attending physician, and decided to ask the doctor about the child.
”Doctor, how is my son? What was wrong with him? Wasn't it simply a cold and a fever? ”And what about the notice?”
I was so anxious that the thought of the way doctors and nurses who passed me this morning talked about the stars and their expressions filled me with horror.
”I'm Ye Xia Liang's mother, you can tell me directly what's wrong with my child's body.”
The doctor looked at me, then took out a medical chart.
”Ye Xialang's condition is not looking good, he is suffering from viral pneumonia caused by a cold, you know, this disease will be cured soon, by the time you send him to the hospital, the pathogen of pneumonia will have already infected other organs in the child's body.”
Hearing this, I couldn't stand up anymore.
”The infant's immune system is still incomplete. Look here.”
