”Come on, Little Miss, here comes the Heavenly Kismet Fruit!” Xu Que passed the white egg to Jiang Hongyan.
Jiang Hongyan frowned slightly and did not take the fruit. Instead, she simply looked at Xu Que without a word.
Xu Que smiled resignedly, ”All right, I was wrong. I have sinned! I'm inhuman! I'll listen to you next time and not put myself in danger!”
”Really?” Jiang Hongyan asked calmly. She wanted a promise from Xu Que.
Xu Que thumped his chest immediately and assured her, ”Of course, for real! I never go back on my word.”
”You're lying!” Xu Feifei shouted immediately. ”Sister Hongyan, don't fall for his words! This fellow has been like this since young. Anything he says while thumping his chest cannot be trusted!”
”Wahh, Xu Feifei, you traitor!” Xu Que glared.
”Hmph! You're the one who keeps doing all sorts of dangerous stuff!” huffed Xu Feifei. She even waved her little pink fists at Xu Que. With Jiang Hongyan backing her up, this girl had no fear toward Xu Que at all.
Xu Que gave up. Even without Jiang Hongyan taking Xu Feifei's side, he wouldn't have the heart to hit his dear little sister.
”Little one.” Jiang Hongyan finally spoke in a soft tone, ”Don't do that again!”
”Okay!” Xu Que beamed brightly as he pressed the Heavenly Kismet Fruit into Jiang Hongyan's hands.
He knew that Jiang Hongyan was worried about him and thought that there was no need for him to take the risk. However, Xu Que felt that it was a risk worth taking, a risk he felt compelled to take. Don't ask him why. He simply would feel strange all over if he didn't act tough.
Apart from the Heavenly Kismet Fruit, Xu Que had earned a hefty sum of almost 100,000 Acting Tough Points. With that, the total amount he had has reached over 300,000 points. Although this sum was still a far cry from what he had before, it was enough for him to splurge now and then. ”Young...young man, don't be impulsive. It...it was all a misunderstanding!” cried one of the Remnant Souls, his tone no longer haughty.
”A misunderstanding? He, he, how then do you suppose we should resolve this...misunderstanding?” Xu Que flashed his pearly white teeth and walked over with a smile.
The Remnant Souls were terrified. They quickly shouted, ”How would you like to resolve this?”
”All right, call me Grandpa!”
”Grandpa!”
