733 There’s No Time Like The Present! (1/2)

It is yet another day where the Four Great Continents seem surprisingly boisterous. With the announcement of Xu Que's challenge letter, countless cultivators found their hearts excited by his words. Many had thought that the whole letter was written just to put on a tough act; nobody truly believed that in the future they would be strong enough to launch an attack on the Xuanzhen Continent. However, it didn't stop their hearts from pounding passionately at what Xu Que had written at the end of the letter.

”Invaders of our Continent! We will hunt you down, no matter how far away you may be!”

”How powerful and magnificent this sentence is!”

”Ah, I wish that our Four Great Continents would be truly powerful enough to say that to the outsiders!”

”I wish that I'd still be alive to see that day come! It makes my heart proud just thinking about it!”

”But what's up with Duan Jiude and Buttface?”

They understood that it was a joint letter, but what the hell is with Duan Jiude for simply writing that ”Xu Que is right”? Doesn't he have anything better to say?

”I'd say that even Duan Jiude had written better than Buttface! Look at what Buttface has written. Howl, howl, howl? Is he addicted to acting like a wolf?”

At the same time, in the North Sea, at the Roc Tribe, a well-endowed, but cold-faced, pretty madame sat in the hall. If Xu Que had been here, he would recognize this pretty madame right away. She is none other than the Eighth Elder of the Roc Tribe, the person who made him pledge to ”screw the Rocs”– Yi Bamei!

For some time now, she had been staring blankly at the letter in her hands. The more she looked at it, the more confused she got. She suddenly lifted her gaze and her beautiful eyes glanced toward the ragged cultivator who had delivered the letter. With an expression as cold as stone, she asked, ”Fellow cultivator, you mean to say that Xu Que requested that they open the small gap on the shackle, just so that we could deliver this challenge letter to the Xuanzhen Continent?”

”Yes, Eighth Elder, that is correct!” the cultivator bowed and forced a slight smile.

Yi Bamei contemplated for a moment, then nodded, ”Bring my reply to Xu Que. Consider this letter delivered, but we also hope that he will practice in secluded meditation seriously from now on. We'll be counting on him for the battle five years from now!”

”I have received your words,” responded the cultivator, as he excused himself.

In the East Continent, at the Utmost Happiness Faction, in the Sect meeting room, the Sect Leader of the Utmost Happiness Faction sat on a high chair, and in his hands was a copy of the challenge letter. Once he had finished it, he sighed with emotion, ”The heavens do favor young friend Xu! He is one of a kind, the only chosen one, who has finally appeared after tens of thousands of years. Our decision to betroth Jingning to him is right. It will be a good marriage.”

”Uhm, Sect Leader, the Holy Virgin is still locked up in the Sacred Grounds, at the back of the mountains. When should we let her out?” asked an Elder.

'Oh? Is she still kicking up a fuss?” the Sect Leader asked with a frown.

The Elder shook his head, confused, ”Strange. She used to be so loud in the beginning that even our disciples dared not go near her. However, she hasn't seemed to move at all these last few days. Psst, Sect Leader, could it be that she has gotten into some kind of accident...?”

The Sect Leader laughed it off. ”Haha, good, good! It looks like the young lass finally understands my good intentions. That's enough, and you are not to disturb her during this period. Let her concentrate on practicing the Arts of Carefree Heavenly Desires!”

”What?”

Upon hearing what he said, all the Elders present in the hall rustled.

”Sect Leader! Don't tell us that you taught the Arts of Carefree Heavenly Desires – the exclusive arts passed down through the generations – to the Holy Virgin?”

”This...this is against the rules, Sect Leader!”
