131 Ch. 131 Walking Wallet (1/2)
During the three-day trip to the north, Niken learned how to reform her magic circle frame. This was the first time she has learned this, and it turned out that Zehell gave this magic circle reform technique scroll through Lionel.
Even though Niken was not a student of Zehell, the man still gave one of his precious technique scrolls to her.
Niken began to understand that a wizard could only reform the magic circles when the ring color was at the indigo stage. Underneath, the wizard would not be able to do this reform technique.
The magic circle was not something that signifies the wizard's level of magic, but rather it was the form of defense. From the red to the blue stage, the shape of the magic circle was only made for combat. But when it reaches the indigo stage, the shape of the magic circle could turn into a defense.
Because Niken had two magic circles, that means she could use defense and attack techniques simultaneously. She didn't need to bother studying the aura of defense from the power of her astral dimension because magic was faster and more durable than other energy.
For the first lesson, Niken tried to move her magic circle from under her feet to her waist. The first and second attempts failed, but she succeeded in the third try.
Niken managed to move the magic circle to the tip of her finger to create the magic circle through her index finger. She could even adjust the level of power so that what appears on her index finger does not have to be indigo colored, which will drain her magic.
She could adjust it until the magic circle that came out was only yellow or green.
On the second day, Niken tried to reform the shape of her magic circle. In just three days, Niken had mastered all the techniques in the scroll, which was what Zehell expected.
Now Niken could form a flower petal shield-like from the magic circle. She felt like Thumbelina inside the closed flower buds.
”This way, we don't need to be afraid that Muyun will attack you. You can defend yourself by reform your magic circle. Who would have thought that you were a wizard?” praised Lionel, who felt proud of his new disciple's progress. ”Ah, if you really are a wizard, it seems like I'm not needed. I shouldn't have come.”
”Sir Lionel, you are mistaken. I still need you. If you didn't come, how could I possibly know that I was a wizard? Even Kazuto, maybe he won't find a mentor as good as Sir Zehell.”
Kazuto wanted to argue his inamorata as Zehell was not a great wizard because he has met wizards who were greater than Zehell. But because he also admitted that Zehell had helped him to use his magic and elemental energy to the fullest, Kazuto respected the man like a student to his teacher.
”You are right. Ah, it's a shame that 'person' isn't here. I think if you meet him, he will absolutely take you as his legacy disciple.”
”Who?”
”Really?”
”I will introduce you if we go to the South. He lives there. Ah, it looks like we've arrived.” Lionel said, glancing toward the window that showed a view of a country.
Niken immediately got closer to the window to see the country. Unlike the East region, which was filled with tall buildings and sophisticated technology, this country was filled with lakes and bays in every corner of the area. There were lots of trees surrounding the lake.
”Do all the lakes have mermaids?” Niken asked her mentor out of curiosity.
”I have no idea. It seems so.”
”Niken, promise me you won't approach the lake.”
”All right, I promise.” Niken had become accustomed to Kazuto's overprotective attitude, which was why she relented so as not to argue with him.
